That form ranking table is frightening.

'Bottlers' I heard some say...

I’ll admit that after the Millwall game I thought it was all over - Not so much the result but how we played that game.

Luckily this team had a far better mentality than me and the way they have bounced back after a number of setbacks this season is reflective of incredible man management in my opinion. That self belief and never say die attitude coupled with some lovely football could take us a long way!

What a time to be a blade !

The Millwall game knocked a lot of us for 6. I think it was the rollercoaster of taking the lead, then the red card, then the missed penalty and just when we thought we had done it...bang.. they score.

I posted a couple of weeks back on here that I have never seen the Lane like it was, or felt quite like that when the goal went in. No anger, just shock. I can imagine those who saw the Villa collapse felt very similar.

But as you say this is a special bunch and every set back just seems to make them come back stronger.

im still getting used to all the media coverage. considering we've been in media wilderness (pun unintended) since burnley play off final defeat

I wanted him to Blend-it-like-John Harris, hoping he could match the greatest manager we ever had. I was wrong; he did it his way, a brand new amazingly innovative, stunningly attractive winning way, and became THE greatest manager we have ever had. Given the meagre resources he had available to him, and the road he had to travel from Bradway in the Sunday League to the Blades in the Pub League, there's a good chance we haven't seen the best of him yet. Hang onto your hats Blades fans, SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE RIDE.

PS - To Nicholas Copernicus and all the other 'always-say-die-pessimists' on this forum - PLEASE CHEER UP NOW!!

That’s better. :)

Best compliment I could pay to Wilder is to say he’s our own version of Brain Clough...struggling against the odds without the big time names and working tirelessly to “build a club” not just a team.

He’s only just started really, how he will be defined from here is anybody’s guess. He won’t get the money most managers in the premier league get, I would still be surprised if we even as much as double our transfer record! So it will be the same recruitment and retention policy as when he started here. The difference perhaps being the wages expected of the free transfers he looks at.

Good Championship players worth a look....well Brentford have one or two we should monitor...Wigan have Powell...Leeds have a few very good young players, Villa, West Brom too. Mr Mitchell has a hell of a job in his hands, but what we all know is that he will have been quietly going about his work since January, compiling targets for both eventualities so that Chris, Alan and co can get their business done nice and early hopefully.

As for the owners...BOTH now apparently very interested in the club for different reasons, they need to sort this out quickly. One of them needs to bite the bullet in the best interests of the club, manager, players and fans. Neither will probably lose out now if they are prepared to give and take a little.

Last words for the bitter, jealous and deluded fans of clubs who think we don’t deserve it based on nothing but their own insecurities and naivety. “WATCH AND LEARN”
A little humility might help your own situation a huge amount

"A fanbase haunted by late collapses, controversial relegations and play-off failures could have been forgiven for fearing the worst. But this time, under this manager, it has been different."

Truly sums it up, Wilder is different, this squad is different, it's special.
