Anybody know how much was spent (wasted)on all our sister clubs all over the world?????
Eg. How much either to purchase, help develop, manage etc etc etc????

The only club Sheffield United had any financial relationship with was Chengdu.

Ferencvaros used some of our players, so that's another financial relationship right there.

Chengdu was bought for a six figure US dollar sum, and I think we spent US$2.5 million on them if memory serves.

So that's the equivalent of $2.5 million that could have been spent on Sheffield United wasted?

Didn't we, (or Scarborough) re-build part of Ferencvaros' stadium?

Al comes from the same pot!

you mean it all GOES in the same pot. we loaned players to ferenc but it was a mccabe-only concern HE benefitted from that not SUFC

It was Scarborough who rebuilt the stadium.

I'm sure we will have given a bit of cash to the clubs in the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Aus and Ivory Coast, but they'll have been token amounts IMO.

Lowton got good experience from Fradi and we got Gardos due to the link. That's what the linkups should have been about, but sadly they haven't seemed to work at all.

There were wonderful plans for Ferencvaros' ground. Looked great with CGI. Got the fans onside for a while at least until our Turry got too interactive.

Still looks pretty much the same as it did when the biggest Blade ever was in charge though. If Google images can be relied upon, that is.

Oh, and if you look at the satellite view of Florian Albert Stadion (Ulloi ut) on Google maps and scan a little to the east, you might get some idea of what that whole deal was really about.
