"In addition to this the club showed an impairment of £614,000 during 2016/17. An impairment arises when a club signs a player for a fee, and then realises he is rubbish (or has a career ending injury) and has to write his value down in the accounts. Who this player was for 2016/17 has not been disclosed in the accounts."
Edit: I'm assuming this is on top of the player's wages (Hopefully somebody can correct me if I'm wrong)

I think most of us can make a good guess at who that was. I don’t know about player amortisation, in his case I think only one person on Earth thought that he was still worth what we paid him.

We terminated the contracts of two players in the beginning of the 16/17 season. Hammond is well documented but this also happened with Woolford.

Still worth it mind.

Can't work this out then unless it was for Brayford which would be about right given he was circa £2m and had about a year left on his contract but it seems a bit too early.

Have you tried reading every thread on here ST, it’s near on impossible these days unless you literally have nothing else to do in life.
