United's misery was compounded when Blackwell revealed on-loan goalkeeper Steve Simonsen is almost certain to be recalled by Stoke this week.
"Their number two has picked-up an injury and so, while they've let Simmo play in this one, I think that's going to happen," he said. "He's the next in line so I'm sure they'll take him back. We'll see what we can do and if we have to bring another 'keeper in then that's what we'll do."
