Apparently birmingham are looking to off load Bent and McSheffrey any one got any thoughts?? think we could use McSheffrey in the middle

I thought McSheffrey was an out and out left winger?? Not sure he'd do any better than what we've got. As for Marcus, "Bertie Big Bollox!" Bent, he'd demand 30 grand a week and deliver 3 goals a season!!
Wouldn't want either of them personally.

Birmingham fans can't stand Bent because of his lack of effort. McShefferey would be a good shout though.

When Marcus Bent played for us he lived in the Stakis/Hilton Hotel. Committed to the cause?

Marcus Bent would be a very bad thing indeed. I'd sooner take Danny Webber back (not that I've got anything against Danny) but Bent was just a mercenary who asked for a lot and didn't deliver much in return.

Please no, not flappy ears. That Bert bloke would do his nut.. :D

Don't even think McSheffrey would be any better than what we have already.

Not bothered about Bent, he's had more clubs than Nick Faldo !!! But I do think McSheffrey would do a job, gives us more options up front or a bit more creativity in midfield.

Bent is finished I fear and I'm not sure about McSheffrey - long term injury and doesn't seem the player he once was, he didn't play for Brum after September last season went to Forest on loan and didn't pull up any trees;) didn't score a goal all season. Not what we need.

Bent scored 25 goals in just over a year when he played for the Blades.

He might not have replicated that form or sheer volume of goals since, but for the Blades he was a shining light in a very average team

Cardiff are going for it from the BBC site ,Cardiff have beaten off competition from Wolves and Portsmouth to sign Manchester City forward Kelvin Etuhu on a season-long loan
