Just seen this on another site - Not sure if it's a wind up but would hope so

Here is an interesting post from another site. He is usually on the money and seems to know what happens behind the scenes. I thought I would copy and paste it for those who don't usually visit bladesmad;

"Positive Vibes" .... "Things are actually happening at last, allegadally ofcourse, Monty has reached an agreement to go, when we go down, I am tipping Leeds , as they will improve on the £650k offer they Placed on deadline day. Yeates will be paid up very shortly with a agreement now reached. The young uns have now get themselves responsible agents to secure there futures with us, Micky has been given the green light to get rid of anyone he wants, and generate his own transfer kitty, current squad players now know to expect a big paycut in league one, all except one (striker) that has other clauses but the Plan will be to move him on, the board are in full preparation to bounce us straight back to the championship with Mickey at the helm. The board mission is to re-brand united with a ' new exciting squad fit for purpose to attract overseas investment ' ( not my words), but for once I definatley see things happening behind the scenes that make perfect sense and logic. Clearing the decks is the main priority, and trying to secure a experienced midfidler is one of the main priorities, which will entice other deals, allegadally,,, but I assume we all fear the worst but rest assured things/ deals / plans/ exits/ targets/ are well underway".

The other recurring theme which links to the above is supposedly Ched Evans has been told to find himself a new club.

The possibility of collecting fee's for Ward, Montgomery, Quinn and perhaps Henderson and use the proceeds to re-invest in our first team squad is positive I think.

If we are able to start the season with Morgan, Lowton, Taylor, Bogdanovich and bring through Harry Maguire and Jordon Slew, that feels like an improvement. Involving Lokburg, Tonne, Coneely and McAllister and perhaps even Philliskirk is also grounds for some optimisim.

I spoke to a friend who is a Southampton fan in the week and he thinks there are some similarities with them when they were relegated and us. Over dependance on loans, players not trying and general malaise. League 1 has totally sorted them out. He says that there is a good turnover of footballers and there are good quality affordable players who will improve us and where we are now.

Where is the sick joke then?

It seems to me like they have formed a reasonable a plan of action to get us out of this mess.

It's an hilarious post, sounds like he's been to a Blades Way to the Future seminar led by David Brent.
We're going to lose players and Micky's going to sign some players and the young players have got agents.
Nothing can stop us now.

I'm glad you have got a sense of humour Len. I don't know how i would survive without reading the humourous stuff you write.

Lenners,

Out of interest. what do YOU think is the way forward or should we all just give up now?

Not much funny about our demise is there Brownie, nor ridiculous, inane posts from supposedly in the know fans which mean absolutely nothing.
P'raps that's where your unhappiness really lies, rather than with fans who point out the banality of most of what comes out of the Lane at the moment.

I would love to believe in this, however I find it hard to believe that we will be able to move on such players.... also the idea of keeping Taylor is one that frightens me, that guys is about as useful as Noswank and Collins.

The immediate way forward will be McCabe hopefully shelling out millions of pounds to keep United afloat.
As for the team, my guess would be next season is a write-off as the club tries to sort out what it does with players on near Prem wages in League One.
Off the field, they need to do a massive PR campaign to rebuild some kind of relationship with thousands of fans.
That should involve scrapping the season ticket scheme as it stands and looking at slashing prices to ensure United remain in touch with the club's fan base.
Not going to happen but the reality is that United will lose millions of more pounds in the future by failing to be imaginative now. Once you've lost half your season ticket holders, it's much harder to get them back.

Love to believe in what?
That United are going to try to offload players they can't afford?
It's like believing the sun's going to come up tomorrow. Have faith.

I'm more concerned by Ertle than Taylor, as he seems to not be the jack of all trades we were made to believe. I was willing to give him a chance but I don't see him being an asset anywhere other than the bench next season. A bench that should be about players who can change a game and not just warm a seat!

With 7 players on a bench, there should be a variety of players who can fill several different roles.

Someone like Ertl is ideal on the bench as he can fill in a number of different roles when circumstances dictate that we need to make a change.

Cheers Lenners, thats a fair response.

The issue of overpaid contracted players is definitely a concern, its probably over-optimistic to think that relevant clauses have been inserted in contracts lest the club go down!!!!

However, I guess where we differ is that I feel that the whole situation is almost a perfect storm forcing us to utilise the marvellous Youth resources available to us.

My only concern is that the Youngsters do to well and outgrow the club before the club can get promoted and grow with them.

For his money though is Ertle only being on the bench the best for the club?!

Lowton represents all that Ertle lacks for me, so I'd still flog Ertle and fund 2 salaries for mobile and or dominant/impact players who could inspire and lift a performance.

The thing is Lowton has come in to the side and started to develop. I think he will be one of our leading players next season.

I don't think Ertl is on all that much to be honest, and is a useful player to have around the squad.

these 3 should have a place reserved in the jobcentre queue now if not sooner

I have no faith, of course United are going to try, I didn't mean that they wouldn't, what I mean was no team is going to want any of our players. I can only see a few leaving because they have been so shite. Clubs apart from United aren’t interested in signing shite players who are injured all the time or a complete waste of wages.

I couldn't agree more Sothall, either that or shot...

So they have a plan and targets, well thats great, why has it taken so long, we've been heading the wrong way for years!!!!
