I was worried prior to last night. The way we play suits Fulham down to the ground. Even the 'view from' highlighted that they hoped we attacked them.

Fulham will struggle against teams that sit back, I'd fancy Bolton to be the type of team to cause them problems.

Why should we change - we're in the top three, who would have dreamed of this 3 months ago?!

Also, if I was Wilder I'd send a clear message out, go out there and rectify it, keep faith with the players that have got us into this position. I'm confident the lads and he won't disappoint.

.

A few weeks ago Bolton played Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Fulham had 77% possession, 19 shots but only 5 on target rarely troubling the Bolton keeper and 11 corners.

Bolton were winning 0-1 but Fulham equalised deep into injury time, so it ended 1-1.

Fulham are too nice and want to play an open game, they also over play and try walking the ball into the net.
Phil Parkinson knows his Bolton team have the style that will always have a good chance to beat Fulham.

Fulham fan mentioned last night (and I can believe him), that is was the first time this season they didn't have the majority of possession or the more shots.

Our season hinges on us winning on Saturday,if we don't win we can kiss goodbye to promotion and the top 6,apparently

That’s true.

Their fans are very similiar to Brentford this season.
Both teams have tended to dominate matches playing some beautiful passing football around the centre circle area but both teams overplay and try to walk the ball into the net.

Also both sets of fans of Fulham and Brentford are still confident that their teams will finish in the play-offs.

Some of our fans, and it applies to all teams, are only happy when we lose,so they can have a moan

I only moan about the things that matter. The pastry counter in Sainsbury's last night looked very sparse. The fucking bastards.

I'm really enjoying this season in my heart of hearts I always thought top two was beyond us but I think we can get a play off spot and that is an amazing achievement for a promoted team

Again, losing last night and us finishing top two are not mutually exclusive.
No but I don't believe we can do it
Hope I'm wrong but already people are starting to get down hearted because they overegged their expectations based on a good first third of the season

Games like that will happen to us because we're far more interested in going all out than trying to frustrate a team like Fulham to force a narrow win. It went from 3-2 to 5-2 because when things went against us, we went even more attacking. Sometimes tactics backfire. In the past it usually took the following form: we set up to keep the game tight and hope to nick one somehow, the other team scored, we had no chance of scoring twice and were suddenly playing for a draw. I'd far rather watch last night's game, loss or not, than the old Adkins, Clough, or second season of Wilson.

They had McDonald and Cairney who were the first midfield pairing at the Lane to be good enough to cope with our press and to play the same game right back at us. Not many teams have the personnel to handle us the way they did and, even then, they had to score five to get a win. A bit more solid defending from either side would have seen a comfortable win for them instead of the chaos that occurred.

Gutted to lose but it shouldn't alter our approach to games at all.
