Our stadium announcer , not announcing the opposition players before kick off - I know it’s been mentioned before , but come on - show a bit of class . Our club is enough of a nut job as it is without making it worse . We’re quite happy to take £38 a pop from them .

I blame the board

I might be wrong here but I thought he’d started announcing both teams earlier in the build up & then repeating ours just before kick off.
Like many, I’m rarely in my seat until 10-15 mins before kick-off so miss their team announcement (if it happens). Be nice to know who’s playing against us but at the moment, it might cause even more concern than there is already.

Also I may mention the booing of BBD when he was subbed,we have some right scum amongst our fanbase. Please give me a decent reason why that should even happen ?
Agreed. There is no decent reason. He did his best for us. His first spell was better than the second. But that doesn’t warrant any boos.

Yeah I was thinking that, its really odd. I know many away fans know the team news anyway via their phone or whatever but its bizarre. Plus I would like to know the opposition line up as well.

That surprised me too I have to admit. He was being a bit 'in your face' during the game that's true but he plays for them now and that's his job! The bloke did alright for us remember!

Yeah but many away fans are not in the ground 30 minutes before the match.

It's poor from the club and there is no need for the change at all.

Especially when the internet connection in and around the ground is so bad. At least put it on the big screen for a minute. Even if it’s out of pettiness, it’s not just the away fans who want to know who’s playing for the away team, is it?

And while we're at it, SHOW WHO'S BEEN SUBBED ON AND OFF on the screen please! As you say some of us like to know who else is on the pitch.

It's not unusual for me not to know who's in the team before they come on the pitch - home and away. Often at away games the team is put up so briefly that it' quite difficult to take in - especially if there've been several changes. Relying on the phone at Bramall Lane is pretty hopeless at time

agree

the clapping of Brewster was worse
I just watched him jog past us,he did very well out of the club, had injuries, well liked I hear and not his fault he was paid an astonishing wage. Another huge football club mistake, and we are still carrying on that trend. The shit will hit the fan at the end of this season.

Also, going off an on a tangent I thought it was disrespectful last season not to announce Hecky's return with Preston.

The man is one of very few managers that have got us promoted to the Premier League, I am not even sure Sinclair even namechecked him. With what he had to put up with as manager at the time he deserved something.

The Gary Sinclair show.

He never even mentions Wednesday's name either.
Reading half time scores it's always like...

"Norwich 0, Preston 1"
"West Brom are winning 2 nil"

All a bit pathetic

Brereton-Diaz was a complete bottlejob at Wembley, that might be part of it.

Brewster got far more cheers than boos around me.
Didn’t clap either but didn’t boo either. They’re just footballers who now work for someone else. Big deal .
I have no axe to grind with Brewster none of the issues with him were his fault. BBD was never our player so why the issue?

Just fuck him off now. The man’s a parody and a throwback to warm beer and cheese cubes on cocktail sticks. Part of the reason the club will never modernise. Everything needs gutting.

The other thing is announcing the away team followed by the home team used to ramp the atmosphere up for both sets of fans before kick-off, and if there was a returning hero/pantomime villain in the visiting line-up it would all add to that.
