Before I get on to it, it is absolutely not an excuse: we deserved to lose heavily and if we had got anything it might have masked our shortcomings.

That said, I thought there was a definite penalty, and two good shouts, I wonder how others saw them.

All in the second half:

  • Sharp was being wrestled by their defender - trying to keep him away from their keeper - well after the corner kick was taken. It got far beyond the usual pushing and shoving for position and occurred while the ball was in play. Ref spoke to them both at corners after this, but this was definitely a penalty. Assistant should have seen it
  • Murphy's run into the box just before their third. I thought it was a clear penalty, was I conned by a dive - he does this sometimes
  • Freeman seemed to get a Scougall throw very late on as he went round a defender on our right in their box.
The first one I saw clear as day, but I wonder about the other two.

Again we were outplayed - and 4-0 was fair enough, I'm asking just to see what others thought.

I think some of our players are too quick to throw themselves on the floor in the box, meaning when there is genuine contact the ref immediately thinks they're trying to buy a pen.

Freeman is the worst for this, a good gust of wind would have him throwing himself on the floor.
