40-50 quid to watch man utd reserves against a league one team in the 3rd round of the cup is beyond scandalous.

Only an action taken by all will have an effect.

I'm not going purely financial reasons
Hatsoff to all blades that go and good luck

It shows protest, it will be shown on national TV, maybe something will be done about it in future

Doubt it would even get a mention.

Only kind of protest that would be noted would be something that affects the pockets of clubs.

Yeah, same here. I'd go if I could.

Prices are outrageous, but you're hardly gonna get Blades going along with a boycott for a top day out like this after all the shit we've had to go through lately.

We should spend the first 10 minutes with our backs to the pitch and if it could be organised have rows of fans wearing T shirts spelling out "20's plenty"..

Exactly, some fans will always pay the money. It's not s decision fans should be making, it should be done at FA level. Make the cup accessible to fans, the fa cup has a big money sponsor in Emirates, so I'm sure the fa can dictate things to the likes of Man U (they won't)

If they FA won't, then it's down to sufc to just send the tickets back with a statement. They won't though as they agree the prices with Man U. The greedy set of twats

Bayern Munich did that at the Emirates this season, made a whole lot of difference didn't it...

Yeah, the moaning bastards! £64 to see a Champions League game between two of the top teams in Europe. Now if it had been a Third Round FA Cup tie...

Thing is, Bayern don't pay that at home to watch CL football so they had a right to moan. We don't pay £55 to watch 3rd round FA Cup football usually, which is why we are now moaning... :)

Get real,

Do you really think Sheffield united fans boycotting a 3rd round fa cup game will make a blind bit of difference to ticket prices?

Turning up 10 minutes late? what the fuck does that prove!?

Have you seen next years premiership money? They wont give a shit!

Have you seen next years premiership money? They wont give a shit!

Too true. This brings it home:

'And as it changes, so the likes of Leicester will grow stronger. On November 27, in front of roughly 5,000 shareholders at the AGM of Bayern Munich, chief executive officer Karl-Heinz Rummenigge gave a 45-minute speech announcing some very impressive financial figures.

He broke off from the back-slapping, however, to unveil a detailed graph showing Bayern’s rank in Europe’s television money table.

They were 26th. Every Premier League club would be ahead of them, but Rummenigge seemed particularly vexed that Norwich and Swansea were as good as out of sight.

‘I am not ready to accept that Bayern Munich are 26th,’ Rummenigge said. ‘We are one of the best clubs in Europe.’ The underlying message was that German football would soon be subject to Premier League raids, and he is right.'

Sheffield United FC should return the whole allocation back to Old Trafford as a protest but we know that will not happen it would be like losing the receipts for one of our home games just on the away ticket sales, not sure how much of a cut we would receive from the whole attendance but it will be a huge amount of money. Maybe there is other things SUFC can do like for every Man U ticket we sell give the buyer a £15 voucher for our club shop or a free ticket for a home game. SUFC have an opportunity here to make a protest and get some of the feel good factor back for Blades fans, lets see if our board can back up their cheesey slogan of "United together"

The blades are getting half the money, they should subsidise half the ticket price with it as its all bonus money that wont have been accounted for at the start of the season
Phippsy has already assigned the money as "the princes 2016 investment" which will all be spent on "the lads", this time they're sacking off Dublin for Christmas and heading to Düsseldorf as Accrington Stanley don't travel there

Love it.

As a "thank you" for buying you're ticket for the 3rd round FA Cup tie at Old Trafford, every ticket purchased will receive a voucher for £10 off any Cat A match day ticket or £10 off when you spend £20 or more in the club shop.

Never gonna happen I'm afraid.

I'm not paying that to watch us get humped. I'm becoming priced out of football. I draw the line at £30 for a ticket unless it's for a big final. It's more a matter of principle than affordability.

I said to my old man, if tickets came up at around £35 we would go.

Pay up chaps. The more revenue we get from the match, the more chance the board might treat us with a couple of free transfer signings in Jan.

As a gesture of good will, United will be running a free bar for the next home game for 30 mins before the game and for all of half time. To reduce waiting time we'll have 10,000 pints pre poured on the kop and south stands at half time, come have a drink on us. It may not make up for the shit you lot have had to put up with over the past century or so, but everyone loves free beer. #unitedonthepiss

So for the cost of this match I can have a whole year of BT sport, no brainer, I'll watch it on TV.

If they sent all the tickets back, we would still get half the money from the other 65,000.

Unless it was one out all out, there would be no point and it will never happen as there would be people that would pay no matter what the price.

As someone has said, with the tv money they get, it wouldn't make any difference to them if we were there or not, so that being said, why charge so much to begin with?

Exactly and not only is the match expensive, only on shitty pay tv channel, it's on late in the day meaning it's going to ruin your Saturday...
