Shirt with players' names on back

When I was younger I used to get players' names on the back of my shirt (Hulse, Maguire,Kilgallon, Lester) and the following transfer windows, they got sold. I believe in the fact that there may be some kind of curse on me and getting players' names on back of led to them leaving.

I was thinking about getting Fleck on back of my away shirt (if i bought one) but i really really dont want him to leave in January/the summer :(

Buy the shirt with league patches, don't get a name on the back.

Why don't you get 'Division One' across the shoulders ? That should work ! ;)
 
I religiously get the number 10 on the back of my shirt, not for the current number 10 at the time but in respect of my all time hero, TC himself.

Of course it has worked out lovely with such greats as James Beattie and Billy Sharp and even Danny Webber wearing it.....I have had a bit of stick for in in recent years though....Most notably the Meerkat bloke? Bogdanovic?
 
I just might buy a Pele or Jairzinho original if i can get redundo payment from work in the next couple of years. 1970 world cup final in mind. ;)

I remember that a lad I went to school with got an England shirt with I 8 Germans on the back.



He never did amount to anything.
 
Whilst we're on about names on shirts, I noticed at Chesterfield that Jake Wright has J.M. WRIGHT on the back of his shirt, which I thought was a bit unusual considering we haven't got anyone else in the squad with the same surname.
 

I've got two shirts with the names on the back.

As memory serves me we went to the club shop to purchase 2 home shirts (one each for me and my sister). It was the one with laces in the collar. Anyway the "shop" (back then it was jus that tiny excuse for a shop) said they didn't have any in stock, however had two shirts that had been made up for Mitch Ward and Glyn Hodges but they were too small. The rest is history. I'd forgot about this until I found them both in the loft next to the crimbo decorations.

Aside I also found the green (not the lime green) away shirt we had. Back when sponsors logo were proper and not jus ironed on.
 
You could have "Brammal Lane" on the back so that away fans understand you aren't a Sunderland fan.:rolleyes:

Just get someone like Lafferty , I know he's not the ideal choice . But think of it this way he's most likely to spend all season with us and sign for us permanently and if he leaves us season after so what. Atleast u Will have a name of a player who has been instrumental in promotion only losing 1 game so far and will start a lot . Or maybe Jake Wright we are probs his last club and he is always reliable when he plays never lost with him in team and u will have the name of a player who is becoming a cult hero
 
I must be a 6 year old hiding in a 46 year old's body because I like to get a name and number on the back. I usually get my own name but of course when I go to games, apparently it's hilarious to call out my name so I turn round!

Anyway I've got a new home kit and I'm open to suggestions!

If you buy those iron on letters it won't be a problem. If we sell him you just remove a couple of letters and go and buy yourself the letter 'U' and you've got 'Fuck'!
