There are quite rough places/people in Harrogate and I
should know :)
And so should I. There were those who preferred Betties, but I preferred the goers who frequented the Malt Shovel, a little way from the gentile set. PS Is it still there? If so, when I come for the Final, it might be worth going back. On the other hand, there are very good reasons why I should stay well clear.;)

Just thought 23 home games in a season - i could wear a different home shirt to every game next season... That's a tiontionbit sad init ?!?

Nope, No offence, red and white stripes unless there is a colour clash. Then, either a tangerine shirt, or a white shirt. Some how, I think that a white shirt makes the team look bigger. I got this impression from a Bolton side, years ago, just before Mercer signed that duffer to replace Joe Shaw. On reflection. This should be in the Twats section, thanks to Mercer and Barrass. Twats Both. Remember. Congratulations Joe You've done it again.

Ahhh I loved the gold and purple away shirt! Would love to get my hands on one of them bad boys

Got that baby signed on my wall at work. One thing i cant thank the ex wife for. Also have a signed white away shirt from 06 promotion side. Nit fraked that yet.

Betty's????? Why would you, load of posers :) Malt Shovel was taken over and became a bit posey too, good food but rather pretentious clientele, but has recently got new owners again and has a good reputation. I would have said Brearton contained more of the gentle set than most.

Well last night I went round to a Wigan supporters house and I thought I'd take a bit of Blades wembley /semi final stuff with me.

In the loft I found

a bottle of beer commemorating Sheffield at wembley in 92
a white shirt I bought for the 97 play off v Palace
Championship play off scarf 2009

and a cheap shirt I bought at Old Trafford in 2003 saying

SHEFFIELD UNITED
There is only one United at Old Trafford, FA Cup Semi Final
...and the date Sunday 13 April 2003.

I hadn't realised it will be exactly 11 years to the day/date since we were last in a Semi Final

Damn, I missed that one. Was it better than 93?

Here are mine;

Got a few more too that I can't find, plus the ones from when I was a kid that got chucked.

A load of us are wearing old shirts at Wembley - prob around 15 of us - rule is no one can wear same shirt - we have the yellow and brown, bright yellow, red and white from various eras and a few other classics home, away and third. Look out for us all!

£100 for the ajax shirt? Wonder if mine is still at my parents house. I remember the really scratchy collar. Makes the macron shirts seem quality.
Of Blades in Harrogate, I happen to know a certain local league secretary who got married at Ebenezer chapel on Bramall Lane and grew up a stones throw away. :-)
2 years there for 6th form was enough for me. A pretentious dump.

The 92-94 home shirt is still my favourite also like the Avec shirt with Wards as sponsors, nothing since as really come close imo.

15 with Blade shirts on in a crowd of 33000, be easy to spot, I'll be the guy waving, can't miss me.

If I recall correctly, we never won a single competetive game in the ill fated black and white away strip we had in the prem. For the three away games we won, Watford, Newcastle and Wigan, we played in red and white. I wonder if we have ever failed to win a game in any other kit?

Fair point! Should have said we are congregating/meeting at bottom of Wembley way near tube station pre KO so less chance of 33,000 being around - only a few thousand. Maybes.

I'll give you a wave though Grumpy just in case. ;)

Favourite away was the all white Wards shirt with black shorts - loved that!

The luminous yellow was amazing at the time as it was totally unique.

Best home kit for me is the lace up collar - though I also liked the diamond one which is controversial!

Still cannot beleive we have had blue away kits. Just shows some people who are paid a lot of money to make these decisions, have absolutely no frigging idea.
