Haha... they'll not take lightly to such ruffian wear up in that Harrogate :D

Funny, he calls it the classic Sabella shirt...I always thought of mine as the Bob Hatton shirt.

I've got a signed England shirt vs Belarus (I think) tucked away in the back of the wardrobe, wonder what that's worth

ha ha linz! I've been wearing my united shirts more since I moved up here! how's the Cross doing? after doing a bit of research (youtube and me mom) it's Paul Garners shirt.

EDIT also NorthYorksblade pop into the harrogate tap sometime, there are two blades behind the bar.

mental.
Great shirt, such was my 'high' post Charlton on Sunday I treated myself to classic 'Brian Deane 92 shirt in anticipation of donning it at wembley. I had one at 14 but In them days they never had a sponsor on, which I so wanted, and to be honest have never seen one, so imagine my delight when I picked this up. I'm pretty sure it's very rare as I have never seen one before. image.jpg

99.99% Blade, I still have my original shirt like the one in your picture, mine does not have the sponsor on it. My wife bought it for me back in 91 or 92.

Nice collection, Yes I had the same non sponsor one in 92 but the felt badge soon peeled off after a few washes,,, would be interesting to judge its rarity as I can't recall ever seeing a 92 shirt with the sponsor on! But fellow blades might be able to have an opinion. My fave ever shirt is the thicker stripped 93 shirt, I remember my dad sending it back to the club shop once as it had a white stripe as the main middle stripe, and the first team shirt always had red as the middle stripe, which was a big deal for me as I spent my hard earned paper round money on replica shirts. He stated in a returning letter "I don't think Brian Deane would wear a random printed shirt do you" ha classic

Great how certain shirts automaticall remind you of certain players ,clockwise I would go Bourne-Booker-Sabella-Trusson-Ward- fat bloke on John st- Webster- Rogers-Neville.

Spot on. Good shout Sitters :)

Although I might have gone for Butlin instead of Bourne

I had this shirt (replica, no sponsor) when I was 13/14, wish I knew what happened to it. Maybe the kid in batman begins ended up with it

Well last night I went round to a Wigan supporters house and I thought I'd take a bit of Blades wembley /semi final stuff with me.

In the loft I found

a bottle of beer commemorating Sheffield at wembley in 92
a white shirt I bought for the 97 play off v Palace
Championship play off scarf 2009

and a cheap shirt I bought at Old Trafford in 2003 saying

SHEFFIELD UNITED
There is only one United at Old Trafford, FA Cup Semi Final
...and the date Sunday 13 April 2003.

I hadn't realised it will be exactly 11 years to the day/date since we were last in a Semi Final

holy mother of hell are all those from the right era and not reproductions?

Only the two in the top right are reproductions (Yellow/Brown stripes and it's Home kit). The rest are all legit.

I was born in 1984 so set a target to get every shirt from my birth season to-date. I got a few from before my time too. The one in your avatar and the two reprorods' discussed above.

The only shirts i'm missing now from the 1981/82 season to present day are:

2000/02 AWAY
2005/07 AWAY
2012/13 HOME
2013/14 HOME

I have seconds in the both hobbott ones that you have reproductions in, trouble is they are really tiny.

It really is a nice place to visit, lots to see, plenty of pubs. Easy day out too if you don't fancy booking a hotel overnight. Knaresborough nice too, ask Raul :)

I assume that's the one near the old bowling alley/ Haven't been there for ages. May just pop in now!
