Yeah a player I've always liked and saw the other day he was leaving.

Maybe the wrong age though.

Available on free, I think he would really fit into Wilder's system.

He's got bags of PL experience and I can't imagine him being on a massive wage...

I'd deffo take a look at him, thoughts?

Wilderball player checklist
Can he drink?
Can he sing?
Can he lead a conga?
Can he sing in his pants?
Can he headbutt lampshades?

Can he repeat this at the trial:
If you go to an izakaya in Hyōgo and don’t have a song, you may as well not go to an izakaya at all. So I wrote this song...

Like him as a player - never gives less than 100%.

Hadn’t realised he was quite that old though. - wilder mentioned prioritising youth and athletisism

33 year old striker who doesn't score goals with an expected level of wage after 4 years in the Prem.

It's a no from me.

Maybe CWAK could get the best out of him, and I don't have a problem with his age but 14 in 114 isn't fantastic.

Any PL experience is needed now over the championship also ran's we are continually linked with.

I always liked him as well. If the salary is fair, I would be happy with having the experience.

I'm done with players who do lots of unseen work or stuff for the team that the layman doesn't understand.

Strikers. Goals and assists. A healthy mix of both ideally. None of this runs about a lot, creates space for others claptrap. Striker's job is to score goals. Once you start carrying one that doesn't then you're fighting with one arm behind your back.

Ideally get Didzy with his 15, Billy with his 23 and add McBurnie's 24 and Maupay's 28. Whatever the figures, end up with those at the end of the window and we're well set.

I think this "Premiership Experience" thing is overrated.

What actually happens to them when they get this "Premiership Experience"? Does it change them in some way and make them a different type of footballer with much greater ability than before?

I'm not necessarily looking for answers to these questions - I'm just making a point...all this talk about "Premiership Experience" like it's some kind of gift from God that bestows amazing qualities upon a player....it's nonsense imo. What matters most is ability and effort. It doesn't matter a jot whether a player has played in the Premiership before. That doesn't make them good. What makes them good is their natural ability and willingness to work hard.

Look at young Brooksy last season. Jesus, he hardly had any Championship experience, never mind Premiership experience when he joined them. But the lad has bags of natural talent and he was a real shining star in the Prem for Bournemouth last season.

I can see that exposing a player to the best quality football players in the world, should, over time, help them to develop further, as they'll need to adapt to be able to compete. But that doesn't mean that you can't be effective until you'e got that experience. And it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone who has that experience is at an advantage over those that haven't.

I just think it's getting a bit tiring now, folks talking about us not having many players with "Premiership Experience". Give me good, talented, young players, who are hungry for success and have shown good at Championship level - and I'll show you the next big money players in the Prem - because that's what they are capable of being.

33 year old who was all about energy and pace who no longer has the required energy and pace.

No thanks.

Are you better at your job now than on your first day? I also assume you had people who were already doing your job help you along the way?

You have to have some experience, a calm head who can say a few key words when you're under pressure at Old Trafford etc etc... a colleague who can tell you what to expect at places you've never been to before against players you've never played against before.

PL players are faster mentally, they're already making the next pass before they received the initial ball. I remember the last game against manure - Scholes Giggs had 360 vision , so much time on the ball and the rest had far superior technique which gave them an extra second to make the killer pass.
We already have the 2nd best team in the championship another 5 PL players are needed to survive. Buying championship players to me means we're expecting to go down.

You only need to think back 2 years when we were promoted to the Championship.
We were buying the better players from league 1 and league 2.
Some said we needed to buy established Championship players because the gap between CC and league 1 was the biggest in football.
Apparently we had no chance competing in La Liga.....but we were in and around the playoffs all season.

So although what you’ve said normally has basis....you haven’t factored in the Wilder factor.....
he coaches and motivates players to produce their best form of their careers, well above their normal standard.

We signed Didsy, Egan and Norwood, all experienced championship players.
