Afternoon everybody,

I posted on here earlier in the season before the game at Brunton Park after having written a preview ahead of the game. I've done the same this time - with the help from one of your fans - so please, if you get chance, have a read through and let me know what you think.

I've given my thoughts on our chances, talked briefly about your season and have all the relevant team news. On top of that, there's a Q&A in which the aforementioned fan has talked about your promotion chances, the last few months and key players, amongst other things. It should be of plenty of interest to you.

Best of luck for the rest of the season after this afternoon

Cheers

Jake

Slightly contrary to what's in your piece, I think the best chance you have today is to start fast, press high up the pitch, and get men forward early on. Oldham, Bury, Crewe, Hartlepool and Yeovil all did this with success. It exploits our immobility, gets the crowd groaning and has a real chance of gaining a lead to hold on to.

If you park the bus it allows us to play a bit, and the know-how of Robson and Kitson is likely to tell.

Who's side are you on?

Today's state secret: we're not very good.

:D

Not sure we are even that good JD
Shocking lack of chances created and attempts on goal. George Long worked more than their keeper.
It's as though they can't be bothered because if you look at the two team sheets there should be ample quality to carve out more than a couple of chances in 95 minutes and 20 of those against 10 men where the keeper is not worked once.

Timewasting at every chance didn't help the game, as well as united not being able to do the simple/ easy stuff. By the way if the aim was to miss the net with the ball, then Forte had a good game today.

weve made some bloody uninspiring signings. forte and poleon? when you look at the players other teams like tranmere have loaned, thats the difference between where we are and being champions right there. so frustrating. im not even going to bring up selling blackman.

You have to ask the question do they want promotion ? I have my doubts, we know it and I think the players know it should we win promotion the majority of the playing staff would be out on their arses as they just pain and simply aren't good enough. :(:(:(

I point I made in my report. They just dont seem bothered. Doyle, Collins, Hill, lMcMahon, McDonald etc know they prob arent good enough to stay if we go up; McDonald maybe but not consistent enough.

Kitson, Robson, Poleon, Forte wont be here. Maguire and Long only two that seem to care and they may be on their way regardless ~ (both could get a move potentially at the end of the season).

Whether we go up or not; I think most should be moved on in my opinion. Sadly we are stuck with many of them due to stupid decisions by our board. Collins, Doyle etc could have been released at the end of the season.
