Two pounds twelve and six for transfers!

Taken from the Sheffield Independent - Wednesday 08 January 1890 - first season football brought in £680 whilst Cricket only earned £90 plus £120. If a read the accounts right then the club made a profit of £50 from Cricket, Football and Bowls.

Who owned the freehold?! 🧐

How much was a pint? And however much it was it was worth it because it wouldn't have been fizzy piss watter in those days.

Companies House are still waiting for the 1889 Wednesday accounts to be filed. Apparently there is a discrepancy with a D-Hansom Cabs invoice.
