Two sitters missed by Billy in my eyes, I think he is showing his age a bit now. One of those games where I'm thinking in the last 30mins those missed chances are going to cost us, lucky for us on a couple of occasions Wigans final cross was inches too high for their forwards or we may have been looking at a loss.

Billy isn’t brought on or starts games to just score goals. That’s not his core value anymore. He’s got more to his game than that. His strike rate has deteriorated but other parts of his game are really valuable

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the criticism he gets. I couldn’t understand sometimes the absolute rimming that Didzy used to get for a 90 minute goalless showing. “Didzy is the best”. No, he can’t fucking score. But it’s about the all round game

Billy,s workrate stand out,teamplayer and always ready to do the hard and dirty work. Sure his prime as a striker is passed but he,s very much part of the last run.

Love Billy but he does have this knack of giving away unnecessary free kicks in bad areas of the pitch or at critical times. I just wish sometimes he would temper that bite he has.

He has been in the right place on a number of occasions and just hit his shot or header too well……..More of a scuff or glancing contact and he would have had another 3 in the last few games alone. I love that he is in the position to have the chance. He isn’t off the pace or lacking the mental edge. One off his backside will do nicely against Burnley and/or City……
