but yeah to think its about 2 years & 8 months but seems like a different age. to where we are now. always remember that game as my niece went to the toilet at 1-0 came back 3-0 & world war 3. ive researched what i said "2nd & 3rd Southend goals remind me of goals that are scored. In that period i thought James Wilson , was one of our better players , he is a Lincoln sub now , but it was his header, that put us in the lead against Oxford and kick started our season , i expected good things from James , which shows how much i know .

I’ll never forget that feeling when the 3rd Southend goal went in and practically the whole stadium berated the players, my heart was pounding and I have never been more depressed thinking that the damage that had been done was irreversible (at least that season).

I don’t recall very well but think the next game was away at Millwall (lost 2-1) or we’d already lost there ? Then at home to Oxford where we won 1-0, our first 3 points ? And the geniuses that are Wilder & Knill were up and running, cue the polar opposite emotion experienced last Saturday.

There are not enough superlatives to describe them and all of the backroom staff
