Hi guys, at 19:30 on Thursday October 18th 2012 at Don Valley, I will be playing for Sheffield United fans against Sheffield Wednesday fans in the ninth derby of this kind.

The event has raised money for various charities over the years. This year it is sponsored by "sophies wish" a charity which researches brain tumours.

See link for charity http://sophieswish.org.uk/

In SFD 8 in June, we lost 3-2 at the blades academy. I was proud to bag both goals for the blades and it was a great day for everyone involved. This time its at Don Valley, which I am really looking forward to. I have never played at a stadium like this. This event was once held at the lane, hoping it will be again at some point.

Anyway I am after sponsors for this event, which, to be honest, feels cheeky as I love playing footy anyway. Especially against Wednesday fans! If anyone could be so kind as to sponsor me for the charity though, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just make sure if you do sponsor you put my name in the comments bit so they know its me you're sponsoring. Its Lee Patrick.

Also if you want to come to this event, the ticket money is going to charity. Its £2.50 an adult and under 11's go free. Ozzie Owl and Captain Blade are coming for the kids.

Ex wednesday player Lee Bullen is also scheduled to come, not sure if any former blades are coming yet.

Anyway thanks for taking time to read this. Know that I will do all in my power to defeat Wednesday! If you do come, I'm the big lad up front. Heres a pic of me when I opened the scoring in the last derby! Thanks again.

Lee

I got into it through my Saturday team in the Sheffield district fair play league. The standard is not high mate, its a mix of some very good players but the player ages are very varied. Its very competitive though with both sides playing for pride as well as charity. Ill drop you a line when I know the date of the next one. Fingers crossed that one will be BDTBL. Owls fans won that won 0-5 so revenge is a must!

Cheers
