Yes, I know a stupid concept in theory, but hear me out.

I mean NOTEWORTHY Blades\Peegs round Sheffield. Two examples:

  • "The Twins". Two old geezers, identicle twins, often seen them round town, never more than about 3 feet away from each other and always dressed exactly the same. Was pleased to see them one day earlier this year rocking matching SUFC golf sweaters (best way I can describe them) from either the Avec or Umbro era. Mint.

  • "Punchy Face". Possibly a tramp, but always hanging round the bottom of the Moor in tracky bottoms and a Weds top. Bleached blond hair and a visage with the texture of mashed potato. Very strange voice, a bit Grover from Sesame Street. Saw him once try and start on an Atkinson's security guard because he moved him on from one of their window sills.

Fatty Hirst was at Bradfield on Sunday. He's still fat.

(Despite being a pig, what a player he was. Always had total respect for him as a player)

Two twats on Sunday running up Jaw Bone hill amongst the Grand depart peloton carrying a Wednesday flag. Oblivious to the obvious danger and disrespect to the cyclists, the race etc and cheered on by some in the crowd.

On the way back one said, 'some bastard tried to pull the flag off me - obviously a pig'.

Words fail

I don't know if anyone else is the same, but I see plenty of cars with Blades stickers in when I'm out and about. Rarely see any with Wednesday stickers in though.

I see more porker stickers in Donny than i do in Sheffield.

Blades fans are from Sheff. Porkers are 90s glory hunters.

Jessica Ennis ,near that sporty building down Attercliffe crossing the road to go in Nat West.

Nat West - NAT WEST - WTF! I thought she was the face of Santander!
Strewth - if you can't believe the adverts these days there's no hope for any of us.

What some people will do for reddies, eh?

Well that sporty building down Attercliffe definitely isn't the Don Valley Stadium, as it's gone. I went there on Sunday to see the finish of the TdF and couldn't believe what's now called the Don Valley Bowl, which is a field with a bit of a grass slope at one end. I've never seen a one ended bowl before :-)

Olympic legacy indeed.

Was in that Cafe Saturday opposite Berkley precinty on eccy road and saw Chris Porter again ( saw him a couple of days before at Meadowhall) He came in with his bird.

HOLY HARD ON

He shops in the Marks at the end of Eccy road quite a bit.

Don Valley bowl was there before the stadium was demolished.

Spoilt For Choice. A JD recommended luncheon venue.

Though if you're not careful you'll see Michael Vaughan in there too.

Bloody hell that first opened when I lived in Sheff and worked on Eccy road in around 97. Great sandwiches back then, good to hear it's going strong.

Avacado Salad on granary for me!

Derek French has his sports physio clinic near there
He's on twatter @derekfrenchmsst - him and Deano often converse on there.
Wonder if he has ever been asked "who actually was the zone man?"
