Sheffield United:

Player of the Season

Just to be a little different I'm going to say Chris Morgan. His temperament was called into question a number of times last season but he really stepped up this year. For me, he epitomised what Sheffield United stood for this season.

Honest, hard working and what he doesn't possess in skill, he makes up for in passion and pride. He literally gave blood, sweat and tears this season and despite his best efforts yesterday (playing up front for most of the match) we were relegated. A captain we should be proud to have and let's hope he can lead the team on next year.

Youth Player of the Season

Well done to the Academy side this year, reaching the sixth round of the FA Youth Cup. There are a number of talented youngsters in the youth side; Keith Quinn, Kyle Walker, Kyle Naughton and Aymen Tahar to name but a few.

Stephen Hernandez really was the star in the Youth matches we saw. A small but assured keeper who's confidence far outshines his young age. Looking forward to seeing if he can continue progressing.

Game of the Season

For the result, Arsenal at home. For the atmosphere, West Ham at home. I'll go with Arsenal.

Goal of the Season

Webber v. Newcastle. The scenes it sparked were awesome and it marked a first win away from home!

Blades on their travels:

Ground of the Season

I must say, I've been disappointed with the grounds this season. Samey and boring. Man City's Eastlands is one of the better ones, but with seats below pitch level, the view we had was awful. It's more than obvious why Everton want to move away from Goodison Park despite the ground's character. Arsenal's Ashburton Grove has big... and that's about it. Waford's Vicarage Road is awful.

For sheer magnificence, you can't beat Manchester United's Theatre of Dreams Old Trafford, despite the fact you'll never get a penalty there.

Opposition Fans of the Season

Wigan's fans yesterday were gracious in defeat "We only hate West Ham".

But you can't better Swansea's merry mob at Bramall Lane, although the result might have been something to do with that.

Away trip of the Season

Charlton possibly pips this one. Friendly fans and standing all match.

Pie of the season

No contest, Wigan Athletic's pies. Still not a patch on Gillingham's though!

Any final comments:

It's been a rollercoaster ride which saw us come off the tracks at the last bend. True Blades will be cheering on the team no matter what as we look forward to trips to Bristol and Colchester next season in an altogether more honest league.

Up the Blades :)

Player of the Season
For me, Jags. I know it's now Jags knocking time, but he has been consistent for over three years.
Youth Player of the Season
Small Quinn. No others have made the impact he has.
Game of the Season
Liverpool home. First match, so much excitement and promise, and disappointment too. Summed up our entire season in one game.
Goal of the Season
Keeef's volley or Small Quinn's first goal. Keeef's was great, but Small's celebration was fantastic.
Blades on their travels:
No idea. Prices and family commitments combined to make this the first season since I can't remember when that I've not been to a single away game.

Any final comments:[/B]
Our season was a crazy roller-coaster of emotions:rolleyes: , but demonstrates fully why money in the top flight is the be-all and end-all.

Sheffield United:

Player of the Season: hmm would proably have to go to Hulse, i think his goals have been vital to us having a chance in survival.

Youth Player of the Season: Squinny, when the game isn't physical he's been a great asset(unfortunalty yesterday was too physcial for him)

Sheffield United:

Player of the Season
im in a tie between monty, hulse, geary and morgan. Morgan has stepped up alot from last season and i hope he can keep the same level for next season. great captain, loud, organises and puts his boot in where it hurts. Hulse has scored vital goals for us in a tough league with little service. Monty has put effort in where players havent, chases balls and closes players down even if the odds are against him. Del boy has played extremly well despite his size. managed to cope against ronaldo and others. My player of season: Morgan

Youth Player of the Season

Not any youth games so would have to say s.quinny. stepping upto the prem like he has and done well, hope he plays even better next season!

Game of the Season
Blades Vs West Ham
great day. beat the cheats and kept a clean sheet.

Goal of the Season
got to be jagz. although CKR one came close.

Blades on their travels:
got to be everton away. non stop singing. my voice went for 2 days!!

Ground of the Season:
emirates, just for the fact of the room and THE COMFY CHAIR!!!

Opposition Fans of the Season:

Probbably the wigan fans, but if the situation had been different i dont know how loud they would have been

Away trip of the Season

Villa away was good, apart from the result. Wigan was good too.

Pie of the season:
Chelsea away.... steaming hot chicken and mooshroom pie.... ace!!

Any final comments:
TO PROMOTION :D:D:D

Player of the Season
Rob Hulse. I think that if Jags had consistently been played at centre back then he may have got the nod but had it not been for Rob Hulse this season our cause would have mirrored that of Watford. I personally think we would still be in this league if Rob had not been injured and I hope he is the focal point of a promotion push next year.

Youth Player of the Season
Colin Kazim Richards. I don’t attend academy or youth games so I have made this my ‘young player of the year’ award and I think that Kazim has come on leaps and bounds. He has shaved off the majority of his rough edges and I am very confident he will be a massive success again next season, provided he has a manager that has faith in him.
Squinny was good for 4 or 5 games this season but has faded away and was very poor yesterday. I do expect him to shine next year though.

Game of the Season
West Ham (Home). The false dawn that followed this performance saw me drafting 20 million pound summer shopping lists and deciding which of the promotion pack would finish below us next year. The only low point of this game was losing out of £50 that I would have won for Tonge to score the first goal (thanks to Chris Powell for that).

Goal of the Season
Stead V Charlton. Jon has been a terrific signing and, like Rob Hulse, managed to score goals in a team that has created precious few chances. This goal was a fantastic strike and provided yet more false hope that the season would end in premiership survival.

Blades on their travels
I didn’t see that blades win away this year (I doubt I am alone in that dubious honour) but the performance at Blackburn gave me hope and the night out that followed was fantastic so I suppose I should plumb for Blackburn.

Comments
I have heard mentions that the side that is going down is no better then the one which came up which I think is nonsense. We still need to strengthen the middle of the park but I think we have the defence and the forward line to have a real go next season. There have been some highs and some lows but in the end we just weren’t quite good enough; forget West Ham, Carlos Tevez and under strength teams. We came up short at the end and there is no major disgrace in that, I just hope we don’t tarnish our efforts by dragging this enquiry appeal through the media for the entire summer break.

Sheffield United:

Player of the Season: For me it's derek geary, was forced out of the side a number of times (even though he shouldn't have been) and always played out of his skin imo. Morgan is up there too with jags and hulse.

Youth Player of the Season: From what i have seen it's gotta be squinny

Game of the Season: Arsenal at home, for obvious reasons.

Goal of the Season: The first one has got to be Kazim-richards goal against bolton for skill. Tonge against west ham, was a beauty.

Blades on their travels:

Ground of the Season: Probably Man Utd, rest of them were pretty poor.

Opposition Fans of the Season: Swansea

Away trip of the Season: Blackburn was a good day out, shame about the result.

Pie of the season: Everton big boy pie:p

Any final comments: We fought hard and battled all season, not much has gone for us in a number of ways. Up the Blades. You deserve to be in the premier league next season!

Sheffield United:

Player of the Season - Jags, Hulse or Morgs i cant decide!

Youth Player of the Season - Squinny

Game of the Season - Arsenal Home

Goal of the Season - Probly Jags vs boro it just meant so much at the time

Blades on their travels:

Ground of the Season - Emirates probly

Opposition Fans of the Season - Probly Swansea

Away trip of the Season - Newcastle!

Pie of the season - Never have any

Any final comments: Been an awesome season, just a shame we couldnt stay up and do it all again!

Sheffield United:

Player of the Season - Monty, unexpected success in Prem

Youth Player of the Season - Only one contender in Squinny

Game of the Season - Arsenal 1-0, totally unexpected result again

Goal of the Season - hmmmm Keeeeefs against Chalrton

Blades on their travels:

Ground of the Season - Old Trafford, not just because of the great ground because of the atmosphere we created. My head hurt so much the next day

Opposition Fans of the Season - hmmmm wasn't highly impressed with any

Away trip of the Season - OT again for reasons above

Pie of the season - changing this to pint of the season.... gotta be villa in cap and gown :D

Player of the Season- Derek Geary (unsung hero)

Young Player of the Season- Stephen Quinn

Game of the Season- Arsenal (h) Stands out, Man u (a) will always be fond in my memory

Goal of the Season- KEEFS against Charlton just about pips it for me

Best away ground of the season- Probably have to say Old Trafford- my only quarm with their ground were the masses of fast food trucks, stalls and those stupid idiots who asked me and my 16 year old brother about 5 times if we wanted to sign up for a man u credit card when we had Blades Shirts on

Best opposition fans- A few have said Charlton but it was more those stupid clappers that sounded like locusts and gid me headache- i thought the newcastle away fans that came to the lane were pretty decent

Best pies- n/a dont eat them- rip off and look like dog meat

Comments- Hopefully we will bounce straight back obviously -ps. any1 heard where the pre-season friendlies will be held this year?

UTB

Player of Season- Well i think i will have to say either, Derek Geary, Phil Jagielka or Rob Hulse. All played their own part. Hope to see them all next season

Youth Player of Season- Not seen any youth games but i might just say Kyle Naughton as i recall him from my school a few years ago, very good he was too. But Squinny has to obviously be in there

Game of Season- I reckon Arsenal at home for the result but for entertainment i would have to say Bolton home.

Goal of Season- Jon Stead at home to West Ham all his own work, or CKR against for sheer skill excellent placement

Opposition fans of Season- I have to probably say Swansea or the small amount Bury brought was pretty loud but you cant beat our fans we are the best

Away trip of Season- Easily Villa away for the trip, getting pissed on way back and just constant mentalness. But for a game Charlton for our celebrations, i was hugging random men

Pie of Season- I dont really eat pies as they are extremely overpriced but i had a nice burger at Reading, still overpriced

Any final comments- Well all i can say is its a shame our excellent fans will not be gracing the premiership for a while but oh well come on Blackpool be a great day out or maybe a weekend. Also would love to see how many season tickets will be getting renewed, i most certainly am and let us REAL Blades that want to watch United, and not Rooney and co, cheer them on to promotion again. UP THE BLADES
