That strike from that other player that hit the bar was awesome .

Was about to say Stevens slightly under par (best performer of the 3 Sheff Utd players).
McGoldrick definitely under par....doesn’t really looks like a striker but worked hard as usual.
Then up pops McGoldrick with a good headed goal.
Robinson was the worse of our 3, looking a bit out of his depth and subbed off on 60 minutes.
What is interesting is that all 3 players look far better when playing for us.

Good result for Ireland, possibly could have won on the quality of chances but just not taking them.

Glad McG scored because I often think it's a little unfair on him to be their main goalscoring hope, he's definitely a support man.

Enda much better from about 25 in, Robbo needs better service but also didn't do much when he had the ball.

Ireland in general need to pass the ball more but there are some alright players there, some awful ones though. They could do with getting Knill in as a set piece consultant.

Ireland play a much more conservative style than us so not as much chance for enda to show his full skills off I thought he looked good.

Mcgoldrick looked to playing deeper but looked good kept hold of the ball played it well and scored.

Robinson had a good game for us on Saturday but I'm yet to be totally convinced as previous games looked like he did tonight.

Great goal by Didsy and assist by Hogan, had we kept Hogan and gone with Randolph as the GK this season we potentially could have had 6 United players for Ireland..

Tbh Hogan had a positive effect on the match when he came on .

Probably because McCarthy is playing him out of position stuck out on the right when he's better down the middle or on the left.

Most powerful header I've ever seen from McG, usually gets on them but not enough to trouble anybody.

Ireland are a basic hard working team that unfortunately don’t have great strength in depth ,
Enda doesn’t have great games for Ireland
The tool directly in front of him gives him very little room for his natural attacking pass and move football, also his normal center back partners aren’t there to make him feel comfortable on and off the ball
Keogh is brutal , but mick likes a muck and nettles approach to defenders , he plays better (obviously) when Egan is tucked in behind
Good point but with Georgia and Switzerland away and Denmark at home think it’ll be a tough ask
Think he’ll bring Egan in next week
