Hendo and Ched would get a hatful in the league below (in my opinion of course).

Neither will still be here come August.

I'm not at all convinced by that. There's not a world of difference between the 2 leagues and Evans has proved, even when on his game, to be a very average Championship striker at best.

The'll both be here come August, unless they're prepared to play for someone on a fifth of the pay they mugged out of us.

Interesting but I think they are long gone way way or the other come the end of the season. I will be amazed if either are here in August. Yes they will take a cut but will ge a 2 or maybe 3 year contract with signing on fee at Champ club; United cannot afford to keep them and may even give them something to pay them off (like Jordan, Wright etc but on greater scale).

At the very least both will go on loan to a Chmp team with us paying some of wages but quite simply the wages they are on United would not have been able to pay out if they were still Champ with losses etc. At LEague one they have no chance.

Those thinking we will get fees are deluded too. We may pay a club to take them. Seriously. That is the reality of our situation

Ched Evans has been pound for pound, in the context of where we were and are at as a club, the worst signing we've ever made.
We need players like him out of our club for good.

Evans has done nothing to convince me he would have a field day in the third division. They can get shut of him as far as I'm concerned.

In contrast Henderson is too much for most defenders in this division so he should fill his boots a tier below.

Disagree on lots of levels but surely the signing of Kilgallon, which cost us a minimum of £30m, was our worst pound for pound ever?

How many pints did you have today?

You've lost me there Coops.
Whenever I see Chedwyn farting around doing nowt, it's hard not to think we paid £3m for him plus £2m in wages, and counting, and sold Kyle Walker for £3m.
We utterly deserve to go down.

I think we'd still be in the top flight if we hadn't played Killa at the back end of 06/07. Was so far out of his depth it was scary. I think Beattie was a worse signing than Evans in that he was equally as ineffective in taking us up and ruined us financially. Hendrie, Speed, Ehiogu, Sharp all worse signings than Cheddar for me.

No, for me you have to look at the context. We had the money to sign the 'failures' that we did under Robson but when it came to Chedwyn the parachute money had gone.
He was the big money investment, the one that was meant to give us a chance and he's royally cost us.
The first season he played like a pub player who thought he was Maradona, the second he's tried a bit harder but still made very little impact.
Which adds up to a disastrous drain on resources for virtually no return.
