At half-time last night a couple of fellows came separately up to the group I chat with and said that they had heard that Ched couldn't play any more games for United without triggering a £250,000 payment to ManC; one went further and said that he'd heard that Ched was going on loan to Norwich.
There was no mention of this on RS or by MA after the game. Anything in it?

See rumours section on here, but that bit about Ched and the 250k was meant to have been the previous game, that he ended up playing.

He's currently on 48 appearances, so it's not unfeasible that the payment kicks in at 50 games.

Why would they not play him for these games then? These ones we really needed to be winning.

Micky said Knee problem, needed an injection or something, but will be back for Saturday

I don't go for any of this nonsense. It's all rumours, football fans are like bloody fish wives.

48 starts but 67 apps in total. Just bring him on in the 1st minute if it's based on starts (which I doubt)

Being surrounded by Norwich fans, and, being married to a budgie STH.
Most Norwich fans would love to have him back, but, Lambert was interviewed on Radio Norfolk and he was quoted as saying, "We've got more chance of signing Linda Evans!!"
True by the way!

Absolutely spot on, made me laugh that did, though I still wouldn't rule it out unfortunately!

Evans and Riise should be available for Saturday, RS reports this morning.

If he goes we will get a fee & some money of the wage books.
MCcabe wont be able to help himself.

Its a lot of olde shite.

Anyway Len has stated many times on here that Evans cost us £3 Million upfront.

Nope, I said his transfer fee was £3m - as our accounts said.
So far, by my reckoning each goal he's scored has cost us around £400,000 which, to be fair, is better than the £1m a goal man he used to be.
I would imagine teams like Norwich can't sign him because of the huge wages he's on.
Going to be interesting what happens with a number of our players if we go down.
We could well be in the embarrassing situation of paying half the wages of players we've loaned to teams playing in the Championship.

Welcome back Len. Computer not working yesterday? Funny that it's onl happened once since Christmas and that is after we have won!?

And what is all this positivity? If we go down. Surely the fat lady has sang already??!

Like it alot - love the point about loaning players to league above us. Excellent stuff.

Why?!

Len makes some very valid points mic but if you're a Blade they're not things to revel in. You really are an odd sort of supporter I have to say. Each to their own but you never fail to astonish me.

Ched's got rotten bowels and a gammy gut. Micky was questioning what he was eating the other week on Radio Sheffield.

Computer working fine thanks, I posted several times straight after the match which was most enjoyable.
Mebbes you're spending too much time with the shed.

aye, had some success wi it Tuesday neet. Strange that it only goes well when United win. The converse of your computer!? :D

loaning players back to Championship teams and paying half the wages? Surely we will have to pay a replacement, so dosen't it make sense to just keep hold?

Just to reiterate, my computer worked fine when United won.
Remember Olle, the facts, the facts.

I think you'd find our replacements would be on nothing like half the wages of the likes of Evans.

So then...we will bepaying half Ched's wages, plus the new players wages, and getting something not worth what we will be paying out? Good business sense that is!

It's incredible the amount of Norwich fans who are practically havin an orgasm at the thought they could sign Ched Evans in the summer.
A few have suggested that he could be the difference between Naarich staying up or going down in The Premier League(if they get promoted).
They honestly believe that he's that good.
I'm not slating the lad, but, The Saviour????

Where as the average Blades fan reckons than Henderson will be UTD's saviour.

Not this Blades fan. Henderson, the saviour!?? No chance. I'm afraid there are no heroes in our squad. There's not one who you could think, "He's always worth betting on to score!"

Hendo and Ched would get a hatful in the league below (in my opinion of course).

Neither will still be here come August.
