Oh fuck knows ,I must have made it up because I hate him
They do what they wanna do,
Say what they wanna say,
Read what they wanna read,
Interpret it any way,
Spout what they wanna spout,
No evidence means no doubt 😉

The S2 family 😀.

You're not a full shilling are you ?

The irony here is almost too delicious.
I believe I am on your wavelength !

And of course you have something in your locker that suggested I conceded he was ever a “great” championship striker ?

Good luck with that 😀👍.

I’ll just consult my “Big Book of Dronnie’s Greatest Quotes” and let you know what I find. 👍🏻

OK, just read it and don't see any list of "sitters" that Billy has missed, I assume you were being ironic saying "he's missed some right sitters when he has played" ?

He's had chances that got snuffed out before he could get a shot in
Chances that if it were mcgoldrick people would have been saying ' billy would have scored there '

Well he didn't and in fact in the Newcastle game he might as well have been sat on my sofa

The club should have an eye on the respective ages of Sharp and McGoldrick and bringing in at least one striker in the next two windows. That said, somebody with Sharp's skill set is incredibly difficult to replace. I wouldn't consider it until the summer at the earliest, and only if Sharp asks to leave. For one reason: he deserves to end his career on his own terms. If he's not getting game time at the Lane and is kicking his heels then he deserves a move. The transfer fee will likely be negligible as will the saving on his salary - there's no other real incentive. I think his performances have been decent, even in the Newcastle game in which he was quiet he was almost Jonny on the spot on two occasions. He should've come on for McGoldrick yesterday to give us a box man when we were pressing.

OK, not wanting to argue, but I would consider missing a sitter to be missing an open net, or a one on one with the keeper, not a chance being snuffed out before a player can get a shot away.

I'm not slagging off McGoldrick either, by the way, I think he is a very important player for us.

All our strikers will have a part to play this season.

If Sharp wants regular game time he will have to look elsewhere. FACT.
Wilder has too much respect for him to force him out.
So it’s very simple, as has been reported, if Sharp wants to go and play somewhere then he is free to choose whichever.
What’s the issue with this?

United need to be looking for more of the sort of thing Mousset did in his first two minutes on Boxing Day. A player who can completely scare, and destroy premier league defenders on his own.
United are looking to progress and Sharp isnt the future of the club.

This ain’t anti-Sharp...far from it. If he decided to stay and try force his way in and get the odd sub appearance then I have no issue with that.

How is it possible, even in the cloud cuckoo land aka S2 4SU to be a great Championship striker and yet definitely NGE for the PL ?

Ha ha!
I’m sure you will be the first to admit that you have a fairly crap record for judging strikers 😂

Billy hasn't missed any sitters because when he has been on the pitch he has spent most of his time sat on his arse with his hands in the air asking for a foul after he's been knocked off the ball yet again.

He scored at Bournemouth.🥅
He had a one on one against Burnley that Pope saved with his feet.
Against Newcastle a cross flashed across goal that Billy tried to head in to the open net but completely missed it.
Can't think of anymore.

It is a bit of a myth that Sharp scores any chance he gets. He misses a good few. Nothing wrong with it as he then often goes on to score.

If you come at this subject, from your perspective, it is perfectly understandable you draw a conclusion like that.

History might, just might, show this assumption to not be as water tight as you state.

Time will tell 😉.

I hate saying this but a move to Leeds would probably be the best option for him if he were to leave. Maybe Billy will want to stay if we beat AFC Fylde because he's a likely starter there and we could well go on a decent cup run.

I really hope Steven isn't going to do a Philip
