Would be my front two vs Watford on Saturday. Almost all of Watford's goals they have let in have been down the flanks and low crosses into the box for someone to score. They are very weak down the flanks and on the counter. We need a clinical finisher to put away these pullbacks that we are so used to seeing us play. Lys will provide the threat on the counter and Sharp the nouse and finishing in the 18 yard box. Point would be great, but we could really show we mean business away from home with a win here.

Agree about the Sharp/ Mousett threat however neither are known for their link or hold up play.

We seem to have 5 strikers all of similiar standard with no one staking a claim,
McGoldrick has probably been the best performer, his link and hold up play really helps our midfield push up the field.
The big problem with McGolsrick is that his shots lack power and he’s not got a strikers instinct, so looks the least likely to score.

I believe Wilder will try to give all 5 strikers plenty of game time against Watford.
There is a theory that he might wait until 60 minutes then use Sharp and Mouset as sub.
Think the front 2 spot is still up for grabs as no one is convincing yet, although Sharp hasn’t been given a chance yet,

Fully expecting a win to be honest... but I think it will be a much tougher game than expected. They know we're decent now, there'll be no underestimation of us that's for sure... Their confidence will be low but the manager will see a huge opportunity to turn their form around.

With them being weak down the flanks it sounds like we'll see the true Sheffield United come out. Basham and O'Connell have done their overlaps in matches so far, but not as often as last season, which is understandable. Weak flanks is exactly where this tactic will prosper so there'll be lots of crosses and passes into the box.

Up until now I've been an advocate for McGoldrick and Sharp or McGoldrick and Mousset against Watford, now I'm all for McBurnie and Sharp based on this.

If we can exploit this area playing our natural attacking game, then both Billy and Oli should be adding to their tallies.

I agree, in the Championship there really weren't any duff teams and our preparation saw us through and hopefully it'll work for us throughout this season. We don't have the exceptional players who can turn a game so we're left with preparation, teamwork and 90+ minutes of hard work.

I'd like to see how Mousset & McGoldrick would work together. I think that offers all of the ingredients we need - hold up, link play, pace, finishing (Mousset, not McG at the moment).

It's a clear truism but apart from our wishes and predictions, it will be a very hard game for the Blades. The Hornets are desperate at the moment. They will be looking for first win. On the other side, they have a real problem in defense and we are still strong at away games (have much more scoring efficiency in comparison to home games). Another point is fans. Probably we will be louder... UTB

Only one place up for grabs in my opinion, McBurnie is nailed on to start. I am pretty sure CWAK see him as a certain starter, the only way he will get used to our way of playing is game time, & so far, due to a combination of injury, fitness & suspension no one else had made a strong enough claim for the other shirt yet so it may be that for the time being that shirt will go to whoever will cause a particular team most problems. McG has so many qualities to admire, but maybe being clinical in front of goal is not one of them, but I can see him starting against Watford.
