Sharp assaulted

They're more likely to give the higher end of the sentence if they've got previous convictions for like offences. If it's heard in Magistrates court then it would be 6 months, though I believe they can now give sentences of up to a year.
Very rarely you go down for ABH even with previous. This incident will be in the spotlight and courts take dim view on footbal.thugs.
Had this been outside a pub on a Saturday night it would have been a small fine and tiny compensation.

In a highly charged arena, players goad fans and fans goad players…..it happens.
If anyone is suggesting this somehow paves the way to violence and assault
they are seriously f–@ked up.
I can’t see em going back to fences and we can never know the intentions of every pitch invader most of which are harmless.
Perhaps we take the season ticket away of every knob that can’t hold their shit together and who finds it necessary to run on the pitch
and jump up and down like a 2 year old kid waving to their mum.
It would probably be impossible to identify all the bell ends but once a few get done it’ll soon stop.
I think that's exactly what paves the way. Amongst the multiple thousands there are some seriously childish people fuelled on booze and god knows what else that can not take this side of football

Before my stream went tits up last night I saw (I think) Robinson getting some stick from fans which, whatever. But I did notice one absolute prize pillock gesturing and clearly shouting "come on then" reyt mad lad he was but it's cunts like him that just need that slight gesture from a player that can't help themselves and try and attack.

Unfortunately those few end up tarnishing the whole fan base for the club.

Have we really got people suggesting searching for someone's employer because they've tweeted something pathetic about this incident?

Go on and call them a cunt by all means but reporting them to their employer? Jesus 🙈
They work for Jesus? Are they a man of the cloth?!

Just give Huddersfield a bye to the prem ?

They won’t do that though cos they want the cash from a full Wembley, after all football is more about cash than morals!
With all due respect, why would or should they do that?

*Common Assault
ABH - Actual bodily harm - as it sounds
GBH - Grievous bodily harm (usually broken something on victim like leg etc)

Depending on the CPS they have 3 options as above in order of severity it won't be GBH as no skull fracture.

ABH is possible however they might decide to combine Common Assault with a Football Related Public order offence.
Common Assault is easier to convict as 2 obvious breaches however with it being caught on camera they may deicide to go after ABH to set an example.
Max sentence is 5 years on ABH (doubt it would be that high) on common assault max sentence is 6 months.
Thanks for this. Lets hope they go for ABH then, the f**ker needs locking up for longer than 3 months (assume he will be out of licence for the next 3)

If clubs were prevented from promotions or demoted divisions for fans behaving in an inappropriate manner, I'd be constantly on the Hillsbrough pitch.

I think it needs to start with closing a stadium down for a match, and it it is away fans going on the pitch, no away tickets sold for a game. Also non TV review for the game(i.e. proportion of sky monies) and the game cannot be televised or be on the radio. Followed by the next game at reduced capacity with no fans in the first few rows of stands

If fans don't learn from that, the scale goes up. Unfortunately the majority will have to suffer until this is dealt with properly by the clubs and powers that be

Can't they refer it to the Crown Court for sentencing if they feel the maximum sentence they can give isn't enough.

There was no slight gesture from Sharp though he was just standing there watching the pitch invasion and the yellow belly charged at him from 10-15 yards away. You would have thought he would be easy to spot leaving the ground too despite the melee on the pitch.

I did see Robinson escorted off the pitch by 2/3 stewards during the pitch invasion too.

Well if you want to carry on being fuckin clever, the teeth were removed so I can undergo radiotherapy. Not that that should make a fuckin difference. But as you seem to have summat stuck up your fuckin arse this morning, I feel the need to have a pop. Prick. And feel free to make your 5th point from this morning in relation to this post. Do you usually have a go at people with long term illnesses?
Sorry to hear about your health issues.
Perhaps during recuperation you may (wish to) reflect upon the circumstances of others also in difficult / unfortunate circumstance such as “out of work or under some stress or having problems with drink or marital issues.”
Take care, hope everything works out

The game was over. We’d lost. Why would anyone expect us to be given the tie because of the events after the final whistle.? Forest won’t be kicked out and nor should they be.

The fans weren’t properly stewarded. Couple of games behind closed doors for the scummy bastards.
I'm finding it difficult to answer your post because you have written down why NottsFFC should be extricated from the competition. Looks like, "can't see the wood for..........".
Responsibility is what it is about. NottsFFC reneged on theirs so should be be punished accordingly, they put many peoples safety in jeopardy.

They're the angles a solicitor takes to try and get their client off. There are numerous examples of this.

Oh look. Exactly what I was alluding to.

He’s a bit of a ball bag I wouldn’t fret too much

Hope you’re well mate

Jordan is saying he has a witness who states mcburnie and sharp were goading the forest fans
And I'm sure the fans didn't instigate it and weren't giving it back.

Some people need to grow up and stop making feeble excuses.

If you're that out of control of your emotions, then you shouldn't be going to football as you're a danger to yourself and all those around you.

(Sigh) back round the circle
Proof positive that 1 (of many) pissed up fooligan(s) (& other assorted n’eer do wells)tried to to bullshit a court.
No doubt he also professed to be “out of work or under some stress or having problems with drink or marital issues”
Guess only (serious) I’ll health (+ medication) permit folk to behave like a tit

You win

Can't they refer it to the Crown Court for sentencing if they feel the maximum sentence they can give isn't enough.
It depends on any aggravating factors i.e. hate crime, weapons involved, gang/drugs related or if he himself elects to go to Crown. I can't remember where football violence classes as an aggravating factors or not.

Oh fuck off idiot. You know full well what the solicitors say, as proven in that one example, which is exactly what I was getting at. If you haven't ever seen the examples I gave used then good for you.

I’m finding it difficult to understand that first paragraph.

As for the second one, let’s not go over the top eh?

Oh thats alright then - fuckin Jordan is a bell end.

With the Forest fan now arrested, it should now be left to Nottinghamshire Police and the CPS to review the matter and make an example of him.

In the meantime, as mentioned earlier, Forest need to be punished for failing to control their supporters. After all there have already been breaches of this this season, and a search of Google finds the following even prior to the comment they've made this morning ....

https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/.../feb.../04/important-/

As an example, the EFL and FA should work together to enforce the following

* A fine of at least 6 figures without recourse for the incident.

* Because of repeated incidents and regardless of which league they end up in next season, for their first 5 home games to be played behind closed doors, and for NO tickets to be sold to supporters for the first 5 away games. Financially should they win the playoffs, the cost alone in lost income would be huge.

* A formal apology in all national newspapers and via Sky Sports to Billy Sharp and a six figure donation to the LJS Foundation.

Back behind cages like animals ???

Lest we forget !

Doesn't need cages.

Shouldn't need legislation or enforcement.

Just needs people to take responsibility for their own actions.

Sadly the number of people willing and able to do this are in an ever decreasing minority.

I'm genuinely worried for the long term future of "civilised" society on a whole number of counts.

These days it seems to be all me, my rights, my entitlement, and fuck the rest.

I don’t buy into this crap, that one idiot has spoilt it for the rest of those fantastic celebrating, well behaved Forest fans.
Each club has it’s fair share of knobheads, who decent people wouldn’t give the time of day to, outside a football match.
I’m afraid we have them, and Forest have their fair share of them, judging on last night.I’ve stopped going to away matches, because you often end up sat next to someone who is totally out of their head who just wants to fight with someone.
First thing we have to do, is admit there is a significant hooligan element in the game, which is getting larger as it goes unchecked.
We need to stop saying we’re all fantastic apart from an odd one or two.It simply isn’t true.
All clubs need to get a grip with stewarding, before someone is seriously injured or killed.it’s just not fit for purpose anymore. Grounds need to be properly stewarded by professionally trained people and a larger police presence.

The obvious punishment as well as a fine is to send a message to all fans by banning the Forest fans from the final
