*Common Assault
ABH - Actual bodily harm - as it sounds
GBH - Grievous bodily harm (usually broken something on victim like leg etc)

Depending on the CPS they have 3 options as above in order of severity it won't be GBH as no skull fracture.

ABH is possible however they might decide to combine Common Assault with a Football Related Public order offence.
Common Assault is easier to convict as 2 obvious breaches however with it being caught on camera they may deicide to go after ABH to set an example.
Max sentence is 5 years on ABH (doubt it would be that high) on common assault max sentence is 6 months.
Job ?

Going on the pitch is one thing.
Going on the pitch and assaulting someone is another.

And for the record, having seen the incident again, it does look like a headbutt. It didn't last night. But I was doped up on painkillers. Whoever called me a pig for getting that wrong my god.
I agree, as i said, i've never really cared about fans going on the pitch in the last 20 years or so as its been good natured and celebratory, but things seem to be getting more agressive since covid (even though it was creeping back in before) and now its hard to know where to draw the line... its not like you can check the intentions of a fan entering the pitch when 2-3000 all go on at once.

Sadly, fans can't be trusted not to twat a player or an official... so cut it out completely or let it continue until it gets to South American Levels we've seen recently (extreme i know, but thats the worst case)

Have we really got people suggesting searching for someone's employer because they've tweeted something pathetic about this incident?

Go on and call them a cunt by all means but reporting them to their employer? Jesus 🙈
Agree, to much of this happens already.

There was a wall of police and stewards in front of our fans during the pens, commented to my lad we don't have that back up from the police at The Lane, or that many stewards, they just moved to allow their fans on, hundreds of which came straight to us rather than celebrating with their own.

When we play them next season, apart from the same counter attack move they do every time, thay are not all that. Just give them 500 tickets max, turn their fans against each other. It might prevent it happening again.

One part of this that is really disturbing is that Billy is an ex player for them, scored 11 goals in just 30 appearances.

Hey he's got a Yellow shirt on its him , I despair sometimes I really do....

Depends what you're shoved onto. If I shoved you onto a road and you fell on your head, you'd need stitches.

But jesus christ, I was doped up on painkillers, had the same view as everyone else and thought it looked like a shove. Why so many get uppity about that is anyones guess.
Note to self:
1) Don’t post (unequivocal & mildly confrontational / insulting) comments when “ doped up” eg “He wasn't. You must be drunk”

2)’Own’ your mistake with (some) dignity

3) Don’t posit ‘alternative’ possible explanations when the cause of injury has been confirmed

3) Don’t make excuses - it were the drugs that made me do it

4) Don’t (half heartedly) acknowledge your error but then muse about folk being (equally) “uppity” in response

5) Don’t get so vexed (& uppity) that you feel the need to ‘report’ someone for calling you a pig

6) Avoid painkillers - they make you spout tosh

Avoid painkillers after having 4 teeth out? Aye. Oreyt then.

Point 5 - I haven't reported anyone. Clearly it was said in jest.

You're quite clearly uptight this morning. Let it go fella.

My god.

What if he works in health and social care? He might work on a nursing home and take a running butt at an old lady. Needs sacking immediately.

Similarly, he may work at the bottom clinic, meaning if he isn't sacked some unfortunate soul could end up with his head in their bottom.
He's a danger to whatever profession he's in and needs sacking immediately. Unless he's a street fighter of course.

I think his job is being a fat cunt. Always in demand those types. Never be out of work

Just give Huddersfield a bye to the prem ?

They won’t do that though cos they want the cash from a full Wembley, after all football is more about cash than morals!

A(n) (absolute) grammar soup. 🙄

Side effects of painkillers include:

  • Nausea
  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Itching or sweating
  • Making headbutts look like shoves
  • Depression
  • A weakened immune system
  • Tolerance, meaning that over time, your body needs more of the drug to get the same effect
  • Addiction, meaning you want to keep taking these drugs even when you don’t need them anymore

Lot of talk about the Billy sharp incident Ally McCoist really passionate about it says the bloke who did it blind sided billy in a cowardly attack looming forward to hear Simon Jordan’s comments

It would set a precedent. If your club was already in the final, you'd know that you could ensure promotion by masquerading as e.g. a Forest fan and twatting a player,

Without doubt SJ will be all over it, problems at the Huddersfield match were discussed in detail the other day

Wednesday fan here, so sorry if i'm not welcome on your board, but I just wanted to say that I thought that what happened to Sharp was absolutely disgusting. Rivalries aside, I'm appauled that this happened. Hope the fan gets banned for life.

I just don't get why anyone would celebrate their team getting to Wembley by doing that. Utterly bizarre. Cowardly too, to run up on his blind side and then run off. He wouldn't have had the guts to do that to him in any other situation.

I was there when the Leeds fan did similar to Chris Kirlkland and although he didn't hurt him much, it was sickening to see an this looked worse.
Thankyou for taking the time to create an account and posting your thoughts. However nobody cares about a wendy opinion and your lot are still irrelevant to us, irrelevant to modern football, and irrelevant to
the championship.UTB

I can imagine Jordan will be having his say, and rightly so, but this is black and white with Billy, only the most idiotic of football fans would defend the actions of this fan.

I imagine Jordan will say that Forest will win the play offs now. I'm not so sure, I can see Huddersfield's tactics really not suiting Forest. Hudders sit with a low block (park the bus) they'll be no space for Forest's counter attack football and Hudders are a really though team to play against; all the pressure's on Forest and after beating us it reminds me of when we did Forest in 2003 and we all thought it was our year but that we all know how it ended. much as I hate saying it, I'd rather Forest go up because they'll sell Johnson and re-invest the money and Cooper has many contacts with the PL clubs academies, he'll sign some good young players on loan and they'll be strong again. I think this is a one off for Hudders and I can't see them strong next season like Forest will. Heart wants a Hudders win though!
