Is it true that H Block will be partially shut next term and that the disabled fans will be housed at the front? Surely that is not a good idea - even though the place will be empty. Surely they can be put somewhere else given all the options available?

Wake up and realise that slowely but surely the club is being dismantled and heritage and history is all we have left - I include the legend that is H block - do not take that away from us. Have the coppers said somat?

What sort of thing is it that makes it legendary Mic? I remember it was the launch pad for a rocket that hit a young girl in the face in the Bramall Lane end, is that the kind of thing we should revere?

Let's have some more examples of why it's on a pedestal in the wacky world of Mic.

Deary me, are you a vicar? Or maybe a social worker? If you have to ask why H Block is revered by certain sections then you must be very naive. The atmosphere generated there far outweighs any other part of the stadium when we're giving it some.

If you'd prefer to sit on your hands tut tutting then so be it.

To be fair when the Kop where booing like fuck at every mistake yesterday H Block came into its own and got behind the players.

As opposed to the Kop, I presume? I've never sat in H block, and I've only ever seen one league game from the South Stand, but even on the rare occasions when I've not been on the Kop it's still been the noisiest part of the ground. I'm not saying H block doesn't generate a decent atmosphere, but better than the Kop? Hmmmm.

Even so, if it's being shut for a season for no reasonable excuse than that's rather sad.

Different type of atmosphere SV, I spent many many yeers on the kop and loved it, especially early/mid 70's when it was pretty crazy but the all seating didn't help. Think generally now, the kop's where the singers go, H Block has more of an edge to it, the atmoshphere is aimed more at winding the opposition up but also, usually very staunch support of what's on the pitch no matter how crap.

On it's day, the Lane is still one of the few "real" football atmospheres you can experience, just think it'll be a long while till we see those days again.

This would be a bad mistake by the club, and I think it's entirely the role of Batho to make this case to the Club. Lot's of rubbish gets posted about his role. This is an issue for him though.

Exactly, and this is the reason it would be an issue.

If you need examples then this thread isn't really for you.

Is that the young girl whose family claimed would have had her head blown off had the impact of the Scud missile not been softened by the Pig badge on her blue & white bobble hat? I'm not condoning violence but if ever an incident was milked for everything it was worth, that was it.

If H Block is to be closed, it would be yet another shocking decision by the club. The atmosphere & passion created by that part of the ground is fantastic.

IF ........... this is true another shocking management move !......... BDTBL fortress.....more like library.
