We all know that people have differing views on certain players within our team. Most at the moment think most of our players are not up to it.
Well F**k the sentiment on anyone within our squad.
Last night, listening to RS on the way back, Stupid Seth named players he thought had a good game. Among them Lowton. He was at fault for the first goal. Others have called him for mistakes in recent previous games. How much slack should a youngster get before we start declaring him not up to it, like people do with Doyle or Monty? In the second half he was better being put at right back. In the first half he was our worst player! now after listening to MA describe players as cowardly in the first half he was the least mobile of all our midfield and hid behind the experience of others. If your up to being in the first team, then you are equal in importance to any of that first team. He has to take responsibility as anyone else in that team. A few called it last night just before the ball was played to Bellamy, that Lowton didn't want to take that responsibility then realised all too late and got caught wrong footed.
All that said I so want him to succeed and be a great player for us,as with anyone who puts on our shirt.

Well Kevin Gallagher on R5Live Sports Xtra and Keith Edwardson RS both blamed Noz for allowing Bellamy to come inside from the left and smack it with his better peg - not once but three times.

Gallagher also couldn't understand why Nos was standing 5-6 yards off his man and allowing him the space to do exactly what he wanted. Nos was doing this on Saturday as well and has done every time he plays at full back. Nos is the culprit for most of the goals we concede first in a match. He does not concentrate and let's the opposition in far too easily. It's then all up hill for the rest of the team from then on and too big a mountain to climb.

I'll grant you that Lowton seems to be a better CB to me than he is central midfielder. He does not know the position well enough and keeps reacting rather than anticipating (like all the good players do). Lot to learn as he is still young. Nos has no excuse there.

Lowton is the new Kyles. Enjoy him while you can.

How can you enjoy a player that makes a mistake unless he is spectacular in the rest of the game. If Doyle had played the way Lowton did in the first half we would never here the last of the complaints. That is what the OP is about.
As for the goal he noticed the run of Bellamy and gestured so with his hand. He was the nearest player to back up that situation but because he was asleep he was wrong footed.
