I think you make a really good point here, I asked AI to list all the succesful managers that have names that are also
palindrome, it returned the following:

'This is an interesting question, but it appears there are no prominent top-level football managers in England with a surname that is a palindrome.

While there have been players with palindrome surnames, such as Sheyi Ojo, Ozan Kabak, and Eberechi Eze, a search of top-level English football managers, past and present, does not reveal any with a palindromic surname.'

Interstingly, it did not recognise Selles as a 'top-level football manager'. Perhaps this is a huge factor to consider in the future, perhaps the biggest factor.

You'd think being fans of AI our board would have checked this out.

Farewell Selles our first manager whose name reads the same forwards and backwards. You've given hope to the underrepresented Palindrome community, hopefully one day we'll have a successful Palindrome manager!

Anyone on your radar?

Serious question. Has there ever before in English football been a non caretaker manager who lost ever game in charge?

I’d love to know how a successful serial failure got the job who pushed on this one ?
