So what happens after May when we are still in L1, will HRH, Jim and Baki be still "United" or will they bail. I'm sure it was more of a "get behind the lads for the rest of the season" comment but the cynic looks at them leaving.

It's good that he's had is say and tempered some of the rumours going around which can't do any good for the club.

I wholly disagree that yet another reshuffle of the upstairs staff will make any difference as this has been done countless times in the past to no avail.

He's also right that negativity doesn't help but the board need to look at themselves and see where this negativity stems from because I feel in the large part it is because of their continued failings despite their pledges to be different/change. Such as not selling our best players, investing in the team etc.

Don't see how Prince can bail unless some fool out there will buy 50% of the club but not have control only joint ownership. Unless either HRH or McCabe agree to sell to their partner can't see any new faces coming in. Like divorce they will bluff it out and inflict damage to each other while they squabble over the family silver.

Disappointingly Prince can't show any meaningful interest or do owt for sufc in his current government role and appointing "local influence" is IMO an admission that one owner in Saudi, one in Brussels and one racking up air miles ain't working.

Best if they all feck off if they can't give the club the time and dedication needed and let the Chinese have a bash, at least we know the new pitch will house shiney new offices before we can get out of this piss poor league with our piss poor team.

He could just sell it back to McCabe for the £1 he bought it for. He'd be making a lost on the amount of money he has invested in to the club in the 2 years he's been joint owner which will no doubt be a few million, it would be a matter for him of whether he just wanted to cut his losses.

I must admit though I would like it if he bought the club out right and McCabe moved on. Can't see that happening though, McCabe still thinks we're not far from the Premier League so would definitely hang on until we reach that attainable target (in his mind) before selling his share.

His use of the phrase "join us until May" is both confusing & has probably created more speculation than intended - which is unfortunate.

It's still far from clear what the 2nd half of the season will bring in terms of either results or the JTW.

It will take something fairly "game changing" to arrest the current downturn in results & shift the current momentum.

We shall see......

Damned.if he does. Damned if he doesn't.

Any public pronouncement is.open to often wilful misinterpretation. But silence is not a good option either.

Taking it at face value, and not seeing it is part of an eternal global anti-Blade conspiracy it's very welcome.

And no more than you'd expect.

JimPhipps did the talking -

Changes suggested by JP and the Prince as the club needs a step-change. Their partners agreed..

Aim is to make the club "stronger"

Believes the changes will improve performance both on and off the pitch

Local input will strengthen operations football and business wise. Those involved know and "get" the club and are blades.

Looking to improve the performance of the Football Technical Board and improve commercial operations outside football (eg concerts and other events)

Nigel Adkins and senior members of his coaching staff are on the FTB, alongside new player contract negotiation specialist Carl Shieber (Loughborough University Business School scholar with an MBA in football industries).

Adkins, together with chief scout Lee Turnbull, maintain full authority for identifying transfer targets.

Martin Green is promoted from club vice-president to vice-chairman for commercial and administration.

Simon Westbury, of Sheffield United Limited, becomes acting administration manager until the end of the financial year.

Its a rallying cry, nothing more, we keep getting them lost count how many during our decline. Supporters are bored and tired of hearing them, positive actions speak louder than words.

Agree, but in the highly charged & emotive world of football & SUFC his choice of wording needed to be impeccable, it was, nearly, but that one word "until"

I hope that our negotiation specialist knows the word "no". Previous incumbents have not used the word as much as I would like.
They might have used it Rev but then been overridden by somebody;)

Wasting your time Mr Foulkes the negative ones will not change until we are top of premier league would that satisfy them ? of course not
they are steeped in negativity and trying to iradicate that is like trying to get rid of a stubborn virus.Sale was trying to bring a bit of common sense to the situation as for the prince doing a runner !! put upwards of 10 million in so far to bail out now is not on the agenda ,would anyone investing that much (with more to come in jtw ) run away leaving his money behind ,stick with it good times will come back but all this negativity doesn't help .get on board and enjoy the blader coaster.
Great cup draw bring on Man Utd looking forward to that one very much, not forgetting we have some very important league games to
play first

We'll hear from McCabe if we win at Old Trafford. Until then he's in hiding
