Not for me. Pick and choose my games again, in line with the management and players picking and choosing when they fancy working hard.

A bit of Blades every now and then, mixed in with non league, lower league and the occasional European trip.
Sounds a lot more interesting than just watching this week in week out.

Can't rate it highly enough. Making the decision was hard but don't regret it for a second.

Blades on my terms and took the red and white specs off when he left and we had that farce of Hecky's signing presser

'We're not football people' (no sh*t Sherlock) is re playing like a stuck record.

Yes it's a thing more people do these days. Pick and choose matches.

Bit annoyed - I go with my son, but I don't think I will be renewing for us next season.

Simply put, I've been priced out.

When £100 barely gets you a couple of bags of shopping now it's kinda hard to justify. No real complaints about my sons junior ST price of over £100. But then they are asking for 5 times that amount for me for being an adult.

Most companies have raised prices, my wage is unchanged though, what do you do?

To be fair, attendances at Bramall Lane have been very good since Chris Wilder became our manager in 2016.
However, the standard of football this season is not good, is it? So a drop in attendance will be no surprise.
But has Silent Blade correctly said the attendances will not drop as much after the 1971-72 season.

Renewed senior.
I think the footy has been decent this season but only for the first hour of most games.
Need to build better fitness and install some defenders with a no nonsense attitude and we might do okay.
Hoping for a decent season.

I’ll be renewing as I sit with 6 mates .. I think one of them will be calling it a day next season for various reasons . Haven’t got any expectations for next season tbh as we’ll have to see what the owners commitment's are now over the summer & obvs the loss of parachute money . Undoubtedly we’ll be raiding the loan market as every other Championship club does ..watch this space

I don’t know what I’m going to do right now, there are a couple of reasons why I don’t feel like giving them my money.
  1. I’ve no enthusiasm for next season with Wilder as manager.
  2. The cost increase - we’re already in the top 10 of highest Championship season ticket so I don’t feel it’s justified especially considering the Kop is an absolute dump of a stand.

I'm just wondering how many people will be getting a season ticket for 26-27 lots of people seem to be undecided for various reasons, cost being one but also the direction the club is going and the entertainment value. Personally I see crowds being around the 25k mark next term.
23-24,000 at best unless the summer brings good vibes
Most likely it’s a ponderous same old same old ( that includes pathetic preseason opposition ) in the recruitment and a fire sale
Maybe 25 plus when Spurs come to the proper Lane

I very much doubt I will be renewing my season ticket, nothing the club has done wrong just life and circumstances, I'm not sure the club can do anything to change that. The pricing is fair enough to get a season ticket, but getting to games is getting to be a problem living out of Sheffield. I hate the idea of taking the car into the city centre the price of parking, and you can't have a few pints. 3pm kick off's are not a problem but when they start moving games to Friday night, Monday night and Sundays public transport becomes an issue for me, so like has been mentioned by others I'd only attend Saturday 3pm games. I can't get a train home at night (nearest station Worksop or Kiveton Park) and after 6pm my bus home is every 1 hour 40 mins. With games now ending at 10pm with added time I'd more than likely be on the last bus with a 10 minute walk to home, I don't really want to be waking the streets alone after midnight at 71-year-old. Not as mobile as I once was so if I use public transport I'd have a half mile walk to the lane from the bus, tram or train, I can do that taking my time but the steps and seating on the kop are killing my knees, all in it has become a chore to go to games.
I am becoming more disconnected with the modern game the Premier League has no interest at all for me nor does the England team that is before a mention of VAR drinks breaks, fake head injuries and goal keeper injuries to waste time, it is no longer the game it once was. As far as SUFC is concerned I just don't see the direction the club is taking, it all seems to be make do and mend. 5 loan players every season is far too many, terrible permanent signings on long contracts, abysmal fitness levels the only bright spark is the academy kids who we probably won't have for long. I only see a depressing few years with Wilder who has become something of a one trick pony the club needs a top to bottom clear out, but I'm not sure the owners have the knowledge or have it in them to modernise the club.

You do know it is highly unlikely the Premier League will allow Spurs to be relegated, more likely West Ham or Forest or possibly northern monkeys Leeds. Watch out for some dodgy VAR calls in certain games.

I can't afford to pay the renewal price; money is very tight, even though I am a senior. The cost-of-living. goes up.
A family member has stopped going with the prices to gain entry is different every home game.
I will go to home games on Saturday at 3 pm. Have Sky so I can watch any match on TV in midweek.
Sadly with the scheduling you will probably watch more home matches on tv than live.

That neatly sums up the scenario that many of us endure.

Remember the days when we dreamed of having 20k plus crowds

Doesn’t seem that long ago when we were aiming ambitiously for 16k

To get an average of circa 27-30k over the last 10 years or so is fantastic

And we’re not shit btw

Our ground needs improvement but is on the whole a lovely stadium .

We have been poorly led for a few years now but we are still a big championship club , generally very well respected and admired by other clubs and supporters

Just saying

I find it a bit sad that people who live close to the Lane are considering not renewing. To complain about catching the last bus and then a 10 minute walk is laughable! We are renewing, maybe for the last time, but by then we will both be nearly 80 and have a round trip of 130 miles to drive. Others have a lot further to drive too. And we don't have the luxury to have a few pints before the game either.
Prices are reasonable and can be paid in three payments with PayPal.
You never know, there's always the chance that next season will be a lot more entertaining.

Was here before when we were an EFL club and I’ll be here after wilder dirgeball.

Luckily right now I’ve got zero interest in watching us play in the premier league or watching us play at Wembley, so all I’m looking for is us winning more home games than we lose and spending time with my dad and some mates.

I’ll renew but I’ve zero enthusiasm to go to the games at the moment. The capitulation on Friday really pissed me off. Laughable fitness levels, a Manager 5 years past his sell by date and a Board with as much business acumen as a crack head with a pay day loan. It does go through me that part of my season ticket spend goes on certain players wages who have the desire and heart of a very shallow soap dish,

I personally really like how the price increase next season is basically accounted for by the wage we've paid Kalvin Phillips to cost us a possible 4-0 win against Wednesday and absolutely nothing else

We haven’t got a ST waiting list, so if for various reasons people want to dip out for a season or two, it shouldn’t really be a problem to get back in again.
I think this is what I will do. My son isn't renewing for work reasons. My daughter and nephew dropped out 2 years ago. The people around me are ok, and I would be comfortable on my own. Trouble is, I've lost a lot of interest. Same old songs, same old pubs. Plus now I have retired, weekends away sound much more fun that what I have been watching the past 2 seasons. Throw in evening kick offs, for which I have given my ticket away a few times now, and it just doesn't make much sense to renew.

Not for football, but we saw a gig at Network2 and stayed over in Leonardo's for about £54 for the night. Obviously you wouldn't do it every match but if you're picking and choosing, it's an option.

I agree with most of this, but not sure about the lovely stadium.

I think fans of some clubs are jealous of our stadium from a historical standpoint, and it's becoming a dying breed of old style stadiums.

That said, unless it's change massively in the last couple of years, it needs plenty of money spending on updating the facilities.

If I was in the UK I'd be going to watch the games, I suspect not many people are going for the whole experience though.

Still renewing. My son is too.

Started going regularly from January 1970. Had BLUT season ticket for every season for from 1971-72 season until 1976-77 season (although I started at boarding school from August 1973). Stood in the Kop when I was home from school for the 1977-78 season and sat in the South Stand for the 1978-79 season.

After leaving school in June 1979 I decided to buy a season ticket in the South Stand from my own money for the 1979-80 season but my dad decided against buying one.

A few days later after joining Sheffield Deaf Cricket Club I was asked to attend training with the football club on Thursdays, playing football with adults was an eyeopener for me after playing school football for several years. The football club wanted me to play for them in the Friendlies League for the 1979-80 season but the problem is that I had already bought a SUFC season ticket. Discussing the problem with my dad, he told me "Playing football is better than watching football, I will use your season ticket when you are playing football". Problem solved. Looking back I enjoyed playing football, the culture and night outs with the lads more than I did watching the Blades in the 3rd and 4th divisions. In the mid 1980s the football club withdrew from the Friendlies League due to player shortage. Around that time I developed a passion for playing chess (I still play nowadays).

When Bassett became our manager I started to attend matches more regularly and then bought an half season ticket in December 1988. Always bought a season ticket since 1989 and I think I will carry on until I am too old to attend matches.

Gangway G/ G Block again!

Me and Mrs. G both renewed on the day that they announced that you could. We can't imagine not being at Bramall Lane on a Saturday afternoon, apart from family reasons (i.e. visiting our kids).

Totally understand why many others will pick and choose individual games, with the cost of living and other things.

On days when I think I can't be arsed to go, I think of my old Grandad, who got me into The Blades around 1970, and who even in his 80's, would walk up to Chesterfield Road in all weathers, with his walking stick, raincoat and flat cap, and stand in sub zero temperatures waiting for a bus to take him to BDTBL. I'd like to think I will be like him and just keep going until one day, I can't anymore.

With all due respect, you're making it sound like a religion that you were born into, you're going because you always have (and always will). I know others that do.
For me it has to be 2 way, i.e. it's giving me something back. I currently feel (for mutilple reasons) that it isn't and I can't just blindly go without questioning why.
