So, few months ago the current Mrs. Canterbury says let’s get some sun in the spring. Fixtures checked and few days booked. Careful planning means not booked when I can see United.

Then Tv alter the dates of the Arsenal game. Flights already booked, hotel sorted, shorts dusted off, chest waxed (hers not mine) and booking can’t be changed.

It’s happened before and I used to spend all day planning drinks, food, events, finding a boozer that will show the game. Asked to change channel found best seat and ensured I can watch.

Today…. Honestly didn’t think about the game, made no enquiries, didn’t check for any Mediterranean drinks offers.

Just wasn’t bothered. Really not bothered, knew it would be a waste of time.

So I put brownie pints in the bank. Of course love, time with you is far more precious, yes let’s do that bistro you’ve heard about, no I don’t want to sit in the English pub staring at a telly.

So thanks United you’ve changed a holiday routine that’s lasted 40 years.

She now thinks I’m having an affair cos of my attentiveness and it’s all down to the prince.

Does he realise the impact on normal lives he’s having. Clunt.
