Season DVD

I've watched some compilations kicking around.....

None of em are good enough.

I want the story of each game, with extended highlights, and the other team's goals for fucks sake. Remembering how it felt when the the third went in, without remembering how you felt when the equaliser for the other team went in shortly before is no good.

I'm not asking a lot. I just want my football league season review 91 vhs with deono on the white cover (preferably for free, and available without leaving my house) updated to this season. Billy Sharp on the cover, and importantly, the narrative of the season told.

Ideally, by tufty himself. But that probably is asking a lot.

No, it only shows our goals. I want to see highlights/all the goals from every game, with commentary (preferably from Radio Sheffield), and all the incredible scenes since we clinched promotion. The team arriving back at The Lane after Northampton, the trophy presentation, the bus parade etc.

I can't understand why the club wouldn't do a season review DVD. I appreciate the concern that people don't buy DVD's anymore but surely there'd be thousands that would buy this?

I'm properly disappointed in the lack of plans for a DVD. I've not bought any kind of physical media for films etc for years now, but even I'd happily pay £20 or so for a permanent reminder of this season.

Well just put one together with all the goals from every game and for a 1st attempt it is surprisingly good lasts just over 2 hours and no Arctic pigs music to spoil it

Well after the season we have just had and no Season Review DVD that is astounding I'd buy one like a shot there are times when you can't be sat in front of a computer to watch Youtube footage, times when you can't even get a decent internet connection who want to sits watching that scrolly thing and ten seconds of video then more scrolly thing. It costs fuck all to make a DVD you can buy top films for next to nowt.

Does anyone know why the footage-rights issue is now too complex for the club to attempt a DVD, when we did them routinely for years ? Or is it cost rather than complexity ? Foxy ? Anyone ?

It's ridiculous that they aren't putting something out and in my opinion a real business opportunity wasted.

Surely they could shift 20,000 of these at a tenner a piece. I can't imagine the costs of production, manufacture and distribution (including online sales, club shop and local outlets) would even be a fraction of that amount?

I would prefer the club to concentrate on getting as many Blades beach towels into the superstore or is it a megastore,rather than a DVD celebrating us becoming Champions after amassing a nice 100 points

And how does he know they won't be cost effective, market it right and they'd sell a shed load.

Surely a deal could be made where they take a percentage of each sale, then it can't be loss making.
