He was tripe against Stocksbridge PS, in a 9-0 romp.Patently?
He has never even played a game in the Championship, so how can it be 'patently' when you haven't seen him play at this level.
Roll on the evening of 5/8 when you can post all manner of tripe about how shite he was. Even if he doesn't play, I wouldn't let that stop you.
Get the boot in man and give him a good kicking!

So I am not at all sure that even this could be his level.
I take it you are one of the many that cheers raucously when CoOp boy wins a header that lands straight at an opponents feet ?
I'm sure he's a great lad. It's nothing personal. And I don't even mind him getting 5 mins at the end if we are chasing and going direct.
But overall, he is / was a Bizarre signing. A rare Tufty error.

the way I saw it at the game was that no-one ever played him in. In fact I thought afterwards it reminded me of when no-one played Done in last season. Perhaps this is intentional and they draw defenders away from the action. Hanson certainly put himself in goal scoring positions many times. The other thing I noticed was when they hit him with a cross a couple of times at the back post and he headed towards the far corner was there anyone anticipating the tap in - no there wasn't.He was tripe against Stocksbridge PS, in a 9-0 romp.

All abart opinions.Huge error. So much so we did not lose a game after we signed him and he was never on the losing side. The fact he played really well and took pressure off Sharp in big games such as Bolton, Scunny etc not to mention setting up winner at Peterborough. He tailed off and was really poor at Rochdale for instance and then was in and out. However, his signing allowed us to have an outlet ball and play slightly differently. He contributed quite a bit in the run in and proved to be a good signing in that he helped us go up.
Do I think he can step up to Champ? Not sure he can be a regular but he will be a useful lad in some games either starting or as a sub. If not he's had it as he cannot even play against Stocksbridge so might aswell pack up.
Incidentally your thoughts on Clarke's contrbution in the run in - another that you said was garbage and could not play with Sharp - what was it 6 in 6 - all playing with Sharp?
All abart opinions.
I don't share yours and others.
It will be interesting to see what part Hans does indeed play next season.

Our Billy.
I'm sure they'll think of a reason along the way.
Please say we can sign 46 year old Lee Sharpe so we can say Sharpe can't play with Sharp and then argue about spellings til Doomsday. After the first game that goes by without him scoring, you can take your pick from:
- Barren
- Lost a yard of pace
- His legs have gone!!
- He's only playing because he's a Blade
- It's impossible for X to play with Sharp!!

Hanson can hardly be a scapegoat from the bench/stand.
Sarcasm to one side, I seriously hope nobody. Quite an embarassing culture that has been with us for too long.
It's obvious you believe his impact on the side was crucial. My opinion differs. That is all. I don't believe he single handedly guided us to promotion. I don't believe his impact was any where near as significant as you make out. 1 goal in 13 is not good for a CF. Even a target man type. And in this role, you would expect more direct assists would you not ?My point was not really about next season. You said he was a mistake signing him and a Tufty error. We did not lose a game he played and helped us turn around a sticky spell. Just by helping us go up he proved a decent signing. If he does not contribute next year we move him on but I am not sure we paid more han £150,000 by all accounts and would prob get this back if we sold him.

Knobhead comment.
Nobody said that and if you carry on stealing straw men, Pinchy won't have enough.
Serious question. Do you think the Chief made a significant contribution in 2002/03?
Chief was on a completely different page to Hans. You know this. You little tinker. Can't argue with that.
Back to the Chief then in 2002/3. As a non mobile rarely scoring target man, do you think he made a contribution?
It's not a trick question. You either see the value in a target man for a much wider contribution than just goals, or you don't.
I'm here all day, so take your time.
I have asked this very question a dozen times or more. No one has ever replied.Chief was on a completely different page to Hans. You know this. You little tinker.
A footballer that could control and pass a football. High Player Specific Output. See where I'm going ?
I like my footballers to be able to control a football. Is this too much ?
That do it ?
Now. One back at you.
Do you cheer when big Hans wins a header that goes in the stand / to an opponent / anywhere other than to a teammate ??
