I'm sure we have decided to develop the 4 youngsters but they are possibly not ready for the Championship yet.
I suppose it depends what the burden is.

If you’re only getting 7 games out of Coleman potentially then how much of an expectation is that from one of those listed?

Depending on how he recovered from injury, Sachdev seems ready to at least come into the squad. Not as a first pick but as a fringe player.

We haven’t got any money -

We haven’t got any money -

Again

We haven’t got any money

Just shows state of club ffs desperation! I've never been less interested, only news from club is when they want you to buy something, shove it where the sun don't shine!

Then we shouldn't be spending what little money we have on washed up ex-premier league crocks just to massage Wilder's ego.

We have Sachdev & Curtis coming through the ranks, both of which would benefit from a bit of first team football, even if only to inflate their value so they can be sold to a lower league club. If you don't want to weaken the team that much you can play Shackleton (lol) or Tanganga there.

What is abundantly clear is that despite all the flannel last season we once again are going into a summer with no clear plan for recruitment.

Perhaps adding a bit of bite in the dressing soon is key ......
Is this an admission the manager can't motivate the team?

We've spent millions on cheerleaders over the last five years and it's made no difference.

I'm highly uninspired by signing Coleman, don't get me wrong, but I'd much rather him in our backline than a L2 full back in Curtis or a NL level unproven defender in Sachdev.

Thats how you get relegated with a whimper.

Sachdev has spent most of his career injured, so the crock argument is dodgy as well.

Playing academy players for the sake of it also isn't the answer, unfortunately.

Our squad is clearly lacking an old head with bags of experience. If he's here as a starter then it's not ideal but having a solid pro who slots in and eats up the minutes when needed is essential for squad building.

I remember how much praise Jags was getting from JOC with supporting his development.

It does appear that way - early days 😉

Over 35 and on the decline (if not already declined)

Slow

Big wages

Experienced culture carrier

It’s a yes from me

Good person to have training with us over the summer. Curtis for example could learn a lot over the next few weeks from him.

I can't see us actually signing him as if he's fit and available, he's probably more attractive to Hull or Coventry as PL back up.

As a coach to help Seriki with his defensive side, makes sense. As an actual playing squad member at 37/38 is genuine insanity

comparing the best player for 30 years to a plodding right back is definitely a fair comparison.
Where was i comparing them ,
Just get a bit pissed off with people going on about age all the time, of course its important but age isn't everything, keeping fit and keeping an interest helps, ask Ronaldo if he's been too old for the last 5 years.

You make some valid points.

I also don’t want loads of shit bringing in.

Given Tanganga can also play right back, I’d rather get two half decent centre backs and just call it a day than fill the squad with rubbish contracted for the nest 2-3 years.
