Heard this one from a piggy friend of mine last night.

Bit 'bargain basement' for them lot, is it not? Have tuna sales taken a tumble because of the new wave of Veganism?

:D

Can't see it myself, i think it's a windup.
Still think they will get Rhodes.

But if it is true what's the betting that this league is suddenly alot tougher than they have been saying recently.

Don't see Scunthorpe as a threat any more, more concerned about Bolton and, after recent form, Rochdale.

Not concerned about any club in this division. We're by far the best team in this division and our position, form and stats prove this. Everyone should be fearing us and rightly so.

Think for once radio sheffield might have helped us out. I got the impression Warne hadnt made his mind up whether to pull Smallwood back or not from scunny as he was probably thinking he had either a good player coming back or he had a wage he could use if he didnt. However one of the radio sheffield presenters mentioned to Warne that the scunny manager has been telling radio scunthorpe that Smallwood was probably not going to go back to Rotherham and was staying. You could tell from the reaction from Warne that he was thoroughly pissed off at this and the scunnie manager for trying to insinuate that they were making the decision and not rufc. From that time, i knew he was going to get called back.

Enf result is scunnie lose a decent and important member of their first team and Blades benefit. Cheers radio sheffield!!

They're in for Sam Winnall now (another player we stupidly missed out on due to retarded management and a clueless board).

He'd be infinitely better value than Jordan Rhodes. Fairly similar players, Rhodes isn't much better in any department and Winnall's younger. If they signed Rhodes the difference in cost would be ridiculous just to have a slightly bigger guarantee of 15+ goals a season.

Jordan Rhodes has consistently bagged goals at championship level, Winnal hasn't.

I'd much prefer them to get the Winnal, but you have to wonder how much they can spunk on strikers.

If rumours are to be believed they are already spending 35k pw on Fletcher, 25k on Hooper, 20k on ForestFairy (pre new contract) and probably a few k between Big Herman and Lucas Gash. Add in the rest of the team and surely another big wage would be impossible under FFP?!

And they've already rolled the wicket for significant price increases to cover FFP.

It's a model you can keep. The premiership is already a debatable prize. Milking the fans dry on the journey isn't what I want.

And of course, many of McCabe's professional critics already don't attend because of cost.

Didn't one of their board members (forget his name) come out recently and state that breaching FFP was a major risk for them?

Agree by the way, they have been well and truly fleeced with prices. Fine for those who can afford it but many priced out in droves. The PL might sweeten the pill but they look a lot further away from getting there than they did last season. Simply not scoring enough and if the ones already there can score enough then it must be shit coaching.

Had a chuckle at that, have a "like", young man
