Great memories indeed - one of my online banking passwords is "2000 Blades locked outside at".....Darlington
And, as for Leicester...
One mate's wife had booked a surprise trip to Corfu so he had to leave on the morning of the game for....Corfu
Another mate had my ticket
I flew in over nite from Toronto
Mate with my ticket's (now ex...) wife had gone shopping and taken his car keys
I get stuck on M25 car park
Get to Filbert Street at 3.30 with no ticket
Finally persuade steward (after shoving my aircraft ticket in his face) to open big gates and let me in...to the Leicester end.
Still a feckin magic day

And now looking for a ticket to Chezzie as I'm I've over in November (12,000 loyalty points still but don't get yer most these days...)

If anyone's going to have a spare let me know.....

Result!!!! Managed to wangle 3 tickets for the scunny family area thanks to my twins school...me and the twin cubs will be there Saturday,get in!!

I remember a game at Rochdale in April that season when we seemed to be everywhere. Nothing will ever beat Darlo or Leicester promotion days. The drive back to Sheffield from Leicester was unbelievable, Blades all over the motorway...

remember that - they ran out of meat pies at half time. The GM police were very good that night too. I wrote an email (and got a response) to the Rochdale secretary complaining about how much cash they had lost at HT by running out - sad really - bit like United running out of cidre on South stand a couple of weeks back.

My son is in Canada at the moment visiting his old University mate in Toronto. He went to see the Blue Jays v TB (baseball) and Toronto FC draw 3-3 with NY (MLS) then the opening cerimoney of the Ice Hockey World Cup (The Killers), 2 days at Niagara Falls, Bungy Jumping in Barry Bay, Camping on a remote island ( swimming and canoeing) now he is in Montreal for a few days, Sounds like he is having a great time, on the down side he missed United's 1-0 win against Peterborough

Cave blade I was sat there with my twins we had out colours on n I did cheer when we scored first but left just before sharp scored equaliser
