Scunny defending

Don't like Dawson but he threw himself at loads of shots yesterday.

Didnt rate them overall but I loved some of their defensive blocks - it was like watching Morgs all over again when they threw themselves in front of our shots to block them. Proper defending.

Some very committed defending, but for me any respect from me was cancelled out by the sheer amount of cynicism from their persistent fouling.

at some points they were dodgy, misplacing passes, miskicking the ball after billy was running in to chase them down, but in terms of the actual defending they were solid and always had 3 players around the ball

That's down to the Ref to stop that though, LB. They did what they had to do, to stop a really good Blades outfit, they had to do it on more than one occasion. The Ref was shite and loved a chat with a player, his actions were absolutely useless.

Not to mention throwing themselves to the floor.

Their number 12 dog was constantly throwing himself on the floor, staying there until he realised the ref was completely ignoring him. Fucking cheat.

Anyone remember when Miller got injured when he hit form at Bramall Lane. I'm sure that game was against Scunny as well? Pretty similar game with their persistent fouling. Dirty cunts...

Murray Wallace was impressive and barely put a foot wrong. He reminded me a lot of O'Connell.

Aye they got some good blocks in. First half there was a whipped ball in behind from the right, was on a plate for Sharp for a diving header, but Dawson got his head to it first and glanced it away whilst facing his own goal. Reyt defending

It was a continuation of their theatrical falling about in the first game at Scunthorpe. I thought a premier league referee would stop that happening - but then I suppose it happens all the time in the premier league.

The other infuriating thing was their standing over the ball to stop us taking free kicks quickly. Surely after it has happened a couple of times they should receive a final warning and subsequently anyone doing it should be booked

Yes, pathetic on their part and amazing 2 or 3 more weren't booked for that.
