After some of the grey clouds that had started to gather after last Saturday

A scruffy , but hard fought and vital 3 points , I’m so pleased for Billy after several had began to write his championship obituary what a finish for the first , top class

At times it was last gasp defending after creating our own problems ,at times lacking composure & at times a little hurried .. but we got the 3 points where we didn’t against Brizzle , Brum , Oinks & Villa.

I’d settle for a few more dug out 3 points between now and May rather than the opposing managers pats on the back

Glad Billy & Duff we’re back in fold , I would have let both see out the 90 mins .. 3 well overdue points

Aye, always going to be that kind of game. Shame we didn't it fairly and had to resort to our usual underhand tactic of diving around in the last 20 minutes to get a dubious penalty. Still, a win's a win, can't grumble at that. Unfortunately I can't see Bristol losing at home to Sunderland so we're unlikely to make any ground on the top 6

Shut up porky pig. You could be called Mr Cellophane your that transparent. What a complete tool you really are.

Simple.

Coutts and Duffy. When they’re missing we aren’t anything like the team we have been early season.

Much as Evans is decent, he doesn’t run a game and keep the ball like Coutts did, and although Duffy is hit and miss with the shooting his ability to get in pockets and create little openings and problems for teams is crucial for this team. Another player we have nobody fit to cover for him.

Spot on. Not a great performance, but a hard-earned 3 points.

Very scrappy and little quality on the pitch for either side.

I think we were lucky but it makes a change.

I thought Bash and Stearman were excellent, as was O'Connell but he's part responsible for their goal.

Evans was also impressive. He's a very clever footballer with the ball at his feet. Albeit slightly fortunate to stay on the pitch near the end.

Blackman was man of the match for me though. Great takes from the crosses, incredible save and a superb punch at the end.

Duffs is such a clever player, I love watching him play. He is the one who makes me get off my seat when he runs at the opposition.

As mentioned above, Blackman also did well but I'm not sure he was 100% fit. A terrific save in the first half though. Well played lad. Basham also defended well today...but his attacking play was a bit suspect as always.

Still we won. That's all I'm bothered about.

Scrappy game. Patchy performance. Diiiiiiiirty Leeds. Welcome three points. Still in touch with 6th. More ground gained on our neighbours, despite their 1-1 win against the other team from Barnsley. Two more reasons why Bill should opt for downtown S2 over Colorado. On balance, I'll take that !

Wtf you on about?

Pissed?

Very satisfying, & deserved what with the attacking intent & pressure applied 2nd half & then the bottle to see it through. Far from the most beautiful we've been, but loads of grit on top of the usual positivity. Great stuff. And much needed.

Our end of game management was appalling .error strewn possession gifted away
We were twice maybe3 times better v Villa and got nothing
So evened out a bit . We still worked hard but were our own worst enemy

I think the luck thing is a big factor too. A couple of long shots went just wide when they've been hitting the back of the net against us for a while now. I don't think we played as well as we did against Villa (better end product though). In the first half hour today the quality out wide was a lot better but even then the goal's come from a half-blocked cross (not to take anything away from the finish). Duffy looked a lot brighter for having been rested and that was a big plus for me. Leeds didn't create much but put in a good goal after JOC's error, and the ability of teams at this level to score without playing well is the biggest contrast to League One. The game turns on a mistake by a Leeds defender and we saw it out comfortably.

I'm in a very good mood, as you'd expect after beating the scum, but being objective there wasn't a lot in it relative to recent performances that have gone horribly against us.

I'd say that the reason the long shots didn't go in is because they usually don't, unless you've got PL quality players like Wolves and Villa have, or you get a bit of luck.

For a change we produced the bit of quality, from Billy, that made the difference. Two mistakes from defenders led to the other two goals, again something you don't see much from the top sides but is more common as you go further down the league. I suspect we'll score a few more from defensive errors in the coming weeks.

Leeds did some clever passing in midfield but that's about it. United were clearly the better side and could have had 3 or 4 if Leon had rediscovered his shooting boots.

'What we normally do to win' ?!

How many matches have we won due to penalties recently? We are owed more than we ever get.

Loads, as you well know. Come on, we've become well known for it ever since we spat our dummy out at Steven Gerrard for diving. There's little point trying to deny it, but like I said, at least we gained by it. Fleck's arms were in the air as were his legs long before their player gave up the challenge. Still, a class spinning volley by Sharp though

I sit right in line with the penalty, we all thought it was, Fleck did make it look worse than it was but that doesn't mean it wasn't a penalty , the stupid thing was from there point of view is that Duffy slightly over hit the free kick to fleck and the defender shouldn't have been in trouble but he dived in recklessly

We've become well known for diving? Baldock got smacked in the face and shook hands. The only known diver in Sheffield is Foresteri.

Scruffy but I enjoyed it.

Superb volley from Bill. Looking at the highlights, they didn’t show the penalty for Leon. Looked like one to me?

Well done Blades and congratulations to Billy on 200 League goals. Not many players do that.

I felt it was another game where we didn't take our chances in the first half and nearly paid the price for it.

It's been the problem for me over the last few months. So many games we should have gone in a couple up and then ended up drawing or losing

I don't usually resort to this... but... well... that right there is a pig.

...day only marred by t’pigs smashing their way to yet another victory..6 points off top nah..

One of them is bragging on Porktalk that he's on our forums giving us "right grief". Probably the guy in question.

Got to give him credit for even attempting to take the piss though. An truly impossible task for a Wednesday fan at the moment.

Honestly, I have never, not once heard a Blade suggest that we are known for diving.

In fact it is quite a bizzare statement mate if I am honest.
