There's no way that squad was a top 6 PL squad. Maybe they should have done better than they did, but we finished 10th the previous season with Wilder and finished rock bottom the season after.
It is comfortably a top 6 squad mate and he got them relegated.

Wilder got a 20th place squad to finish 10th.

The difference between the 2 is insane. I understand a change in manager but it cannot be for Parker.

How many players from that squad have gone on to play for top 6 clubs?

Bringing in Parker would be like going to the restaurant and ordering the most boring meal you can think of before even looking at the menu. He's one of the most bland and uninspiring managers I've seen in recent years.

You look through the team most have gone abroad and performed very well at a level comparable top 6 in England.

The ones that are still there are performing at a very good level also.

Shows what an unreal job Wilder did. As his side had absolutely zero players of top 6 quality.

Fulham squad from 2020 are now playing for the following teams:

Fulham (8)
West Ham - Areola
Chelsea - Betinnelli
AC Milan - Rubens Loftus-Cheek
Napoli - Anguissa
Liverpool - Carvalho
Ibiza
Charlton
Rapid Vienna
Millwall
Forest
Wigan
Hull
Wolves
Bradford
Sarpsborg
Vejle
Al-Hilal
West Brom

Out of that lot, there's only Areola, Anguissa, loftus-cheek and Carvalho who have done anything since.

So they had 4 players out of their whole squad that were perhaps capable of a top 6 finish. The rest were lower prem, championship players.

They probably did underachieve a little,
but not by the distance you're making out

Most? Who?

Most? Who?
It’s a very simple task for you to do my friend.

Some of them have signed for teams like Chelsea , Napoli , AC Milan, some have gone back to teams like PSG and played in champions leagues and won European cup competitions, some of them where later sold for £50m.

Others are rumoured to be wanted amongst some of the biggest clubs in the world, the ones that didn’t make the top 6 are some of the best players at their clubs and were transferred for sizeable fees.

Take a look it’s an interesting read. If you don’t wish too then so be it.

Cool 🙄

The team he got relegated from the Premier league with arguably should have been enough for top 6 in the PL.

His style of play is where the issue is.
Not sure what you're talking about but if it's Parker, it's not him alone that is the point of the comments. It's certain types of managers in general that aren't given a chance or much time by some fans, irrespective of their preferred style of football.

Not a chance that this is true.

We're stuck in an infinite loop of Wilder, Hecky, Wilder, Hecky for all of eternity.

When they die, they simply respawn and we start again. Meaning every 40-50 years, we're due the Wilder wonder years and a Hecky promotion, followed by premier league humiliation. Ad infinitum.

Given every one of these links gets shot down and half don't want Wilder assuming a new manager was to be appointed who realistically would we be happy with?

The foreign approach didn't work with Slav despite the fact he'd done it before and was pretty much universally welcomed by all of us. So do we try that again and if so is it someone who has never manged here before or someone with English league experience?

Or do we go with someone who has a good record at a lower level like Ian Evatt who got Barrow promoted into the football league and is doing a good job at Bolton?

It's a minefield and I'm glad I'm not choosing. League one this season illustrates the randomness of it. Oxford had been in and around the play offs for 5 seasons and finally hit on the right man who was Oxford born and bred but managing abroad and went up through the play offs. However through those 5 years they had had John Mousiniho playing for them who they then released, Pompey appointed him as first team manager with absolutely no experience and he won the league!
Id accept Klopp or Ancellotti. Although I expect many on here wouldn't

I (genuinely) am not sure I would want Klopp. I think he comes across terribly. Arrogant, moaning, I remember him being interviewed after they played at BDTBL this season and I thought he was horrible.

Maybe its different if you have someone like that as our manager though...

He did fit right in at Liverpool...

Well let's see who we've had over the last 40-50 years...........

Ken Furphy, Jimmy Sirrell, Harry Haslam, Martin Peters, Ian Porterfield, Billy McEwan, Kendall (who did well in the short time he was here), Spackman, Bruce, Heath, Bryan Robson............. need I go on?

Along with Bassett (the best record) and Warnock; Wilder and Hecky have been up there with the best managers we've had in the last 50 years. Not hard, though, I know!

True as that once was, the course of time has been altered permanently from here on in.

It occurred when Wilder was appointed first time around. We breached the space-time continuum.

If you look, you plot the actual point in time it happened. Somewhere around Billy getting those beers on the way back from Millwall.

Now we're on the Wilder-Hecky trajectory. Forever more.

Of course we have to try the foreign manager again we have to, only this time try giving them some money to spend..

Think it’s more this forum isn’t exactly a good base of opinion.

You go onto twitter / YouTube / games / pubs

There seems to be much more support for Wilder than on this message board. So many have nailed there opinions and hard to change without looking stupid which is what this forum has become recently.

There’s not a great deal of good managers better than Wilder that’s achievable for us right now. Could we go and get a coach from Man City like Leicester I don’t think so.

It takes time to change the full ideology of the club and as of right now we don’t even know who the owner is or even could be.

Wonder if Des Taylor & the gang actually do know what they're on about.
Think we’ll see over the next month or 2

Preston & 1st half yesterday were wilder mk1, 2nd half and not shouldering any blame wilder mk2 (not counting our reserves beating Wrexham reserves)

Hate to say it, but at 2-0 yesterday Hecky would have shut up shop, shite to watch but he’d have closed out 3 points in this division as that’s how he got us up

Jury’s out captain

Absolutely. Said this yesterday. He'd have given Norwood and Sharp new contracts and they'd have been on after 60mins to dry the game up whilst restricting the development/game time of Peck and Marsh etc who we'd ultimately lose when they refused to sign new deals and the cycle would continue...
