And various websites are reporting the same.

It's spreading like wild-fire :)

yer but who to drop...we are top of the league with the midfield we have at the moment..and if we go up with this midfield i think they deserve a chance to prove themselves in the premiership.

If i had to drop some1 if we bought browny in, in january i wud drop ifil/gillespie (whoeva is playin there) and try and adjust.

Had you asked me earlier in the season, I would've said drop Jags back into defence and there's your place for Brown.

Jags however, has improved greatly in midfield and, with Monty, helps balance the attacking properties of Ifill/Gillespie and Quinny with more defensive attributes. The couple of goals and assists these past few matches show he's getting forward more too.

yer thts tru, but wot i've noticed bout jags, wen u swap him around he tends to lose his head a bit, wen he gets settled in a position, he is the best player in the championship IMO

IMO ithink jags a always calm dont agree with him losing is head but o well ur opinion

i probably said it rong, he's always a gd player wen they move him about, but it takes him a while to get back to his best in that position

yea now that i agree with. He so solid where ever he plays. But if he did move it wouldn't be to a massive club it could be like Wigan or villa or something like that

think i might do some research about him, wot side does he play for?

He plays for Hibs in the SPL. A fast player with good ball control so therefore his best position is on the right wing but he can play in central midfield just not as effective in that postion. No need to do any research now :D

From todays Sunday Times............

Sheffield United are preparing a bid for Hibernian midfielder Scott Brown, left, after having the midfielder watched during the midweek friendly against Charlton. Brown scored twice against the London club at Easter Road and Premiership newcomers United are now considering adding him to their squad, according to a club source. However, a transfer fee will be necessary as earlier this year Brown extended his contract at Easter Road until 2009. It is believed Hibs may turn their attention to Ian Black of Inverness should they lose Brown, although advances from Dundee United for Black have already been rejected this summer

Blades back in for Hibs duo?
18-10-2006 13:51

Sheffield United are reportedly considering a fresh move for Hibernian duo Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson in January.
The Sheffield Star claims that Blades manager Neil Warnock enquired about the highly-rated pair in the summer but ditched his interest after the SPL club refused to drop their valuation of their prize assets.

But Warnock has admitted this week that strengthening his midfield will be the priority in the new year transfer window, which could suggest that United make a fresh push to try and land both players.
United are not expected to be the only team bidding for Brown and Thomson, with Bolton and Middlesbrough also believed to be tracking the duo.

Looks like we are back in for him and thomson.

dont know much about either of them but what ive heard about brown hes a good player

Both excellent players, Brown perticually pisses all over Tonge. He would be a brilliant signing.
