Billy put more into his game but was equally ineffective. Neither are good enough imo.

A quick scan of soccerbase tells you that Sharp is proven to be, over many more games, a far superior striker than Evans who bar a short spell at Norwich, generaly can't hit a bulls ass with a banjo. From memory Sharp outscores him by a rate of about 4 to 1. Evans is a poor player and we should recognise it and do our best to move on.

Len is typically negative but he does make one good point - we're in trouble up front. Let's at least give Boggy a run and get Evans on the list to see if we could at least recoup a quarter of what we've paid, but we'll be really lucky.

Ched Evans and Billy Sharp have pretty much the same scoring record in this league, with the majority of Billy's goals have come in lower leagues.

Now, I actually wish Blackwell would have been sacked earlier before Billy got sold as I think he would have scored under Speed. For the same reason, I think that as soon as we start creating chances, then Ched will also score.
