Wow...I’m shocked...he’s only just arrived...doesn‘t know the players but must already know the system.

You can bet that one of the reasons he’s chosen us instead of other clubs
is that Wilders has told him about his specific role in the team and how it will be mutually beneficial playing to his strengths and making us a better team.

Seems like the boy is a fast learner , looking forwards to this !

This is very exciting. You know for a fact Wilder wouldn't start him if he didn't think he was ready.

From a technical aspect RCM is a lot easier to make your debut from and requires less adaptation for Berge. Good starting point for him, but curious to see how he works the Lunny box to box midfielder role.

Why not 🙂 Nothing to lose getting him out there, even if it's just for the first 45 mins 🇧🇻

Pity Besic doesn't feature, but them's the decision's a manager has to make.

Good and brave decision by Wilder to start SB, the fella's only has a few hours to get to grips with our style of play. Don't want to make comments that are misplaced, so let's see what we get for £22 million - a staggering amount for the Blades but just 'ok' by the standards of a Division gone mental with transfer fees.

Exciting times for this club and it's long suffering supporters, we've got a great squad, we look the part, and with a few additions we'll compete with the very best.

Watching it on bein sports....the Arabic commentator pronounces our new players name Sander Berjee.

Not much happened so far....Crystal Palace controlling possession but BOTH sides seem very cautious and defensive minded.
Been impressed with some of Sharp movement, hold up play and workrate so far....although he’s having to come deep.
Berge hasn’t touched the ball much but when he has he’s just done simple passes.

We seem happy to sit back and defend. Not looking like any goals from anywhere so far.

Bollocking and then a fast start In second half, I’m sure these are part of CWAK tactics sometimes

A few neat touches and passes but a very forgettable debut. Thought we looked a lot better after he went off but that was much more down to the energy of Lundstram. I think we would've seen a similar improvement had any of the midfield three gone off. Our passing was really poor today.

Forgettable debut? He was real quality you can see that with quality on the ball he will take time to get up to speed solid debut

He showed good strength on a few occasions, muscling a player off the ball on the turn. In fact, he was very good at dispossessing the opposition, often finding a way of getting a toe in & nicking it.

He (for the most part) looked good on the ball, though mostly played it safe. I was impressed by how offensive his runs were off the ball, often looking to attack the box. He almost had a goal 3 minutes in, McBurnie cushioned a header in his direction & he couldn't quite get on the end of it for a free header in front of goal.

The negatives would perhaps be that there were a few occasions where he wanted too much time / too many touches to do things & he lost it in these instances. There were occasions, off the ball, where he looked a little lost positionally - however, these are all fairly typical things to expect of a guy playing in his debut Premier League match. He'll sharpen up. I really liked the look of him. A lot of very positive bits & pieces & encouraging signs.

To be honest, it wasn't a great game for him to display his qualities. We were very poor with the ball for 58 minutes. The goal turned the game & he was subbed soon after. Lundstram, when he came on, had a lot more space to play in as Palace were pushing men forward. He looked excellent when he came on though.

You'd probably give the debut a 6/10.

Forgettable game all round for me aside from the hilarious keeping error. Movement off the ball was poor and for most of the time Berge was on the pitch we struggled to string a few passes together as a team. As I said, not putting that down to him at all. It was true for the whole team. So, sure, he's obviously not a bad player, but I didn't see much to judge him on in that game.
