If you ever start a new thread I promise not to trawl through past threads to see if has been replicated in the past, simply because I can't be arsed. Some boards have a moderator to moderate certain posters, is there one on this board? Genuine enquiry btw.

Last year we started with two defeats and a win against Brentford and two defeats to Middlesbrough and Cardiff. We did then go on to win the next four against Barnsley, Derby, Sunderland and Bolton to be played 7 won 5 lost 2.

All the doom mongers need to just look back a year. Now we have Norwood, Woodburn, Coutts coming back and a great striker on the way. Onwards and upwards we go, play offs should be our minimum target, get real Blades.

It’s the finish that concerns me most!

Double posts are quite a common thing and the admins end up merging threads as a general rule.
I'm sure there will be topics where we stand on the same side in the not too distant future, there were a couple of whoppers that split the forum last season and of course there's still time for a good Ched argument before he leaves!

I must admit to being quite excited by the prospect of Fleck, Norwood and Coutts. A massive step up from Fleck, Evans and Lundstram and reason for us all to be optimistic. Add in Duffy and and improving Woodburn then who knows what the not too distant future will look like. Perhaps Clarke might score again or will his place be taken by a new centre forward. If you have a midfield who can play then it makes the job so much easier for our not so mobile forwards, the Chief showed us that.

As for Swansea, like Stoke and WBA, they replace the promoted teams. We got 4 points out of possible 18 from the promoted teams last season and this season so far we have 0 out of 3 from the relegated teams.

4 points from 18 from the promoted teams how is that calculated we got 3 from Bolton and 1 from millwall thats 4 from 12 unless you are of course factoring in that we didn't take any points off ourselves , which is technically correct but a tad harsh to use as a statistic

I really enjoyed the opening game v Brentford, seeing Blackman's kicking and the crowd going "oooh!" everytime he sliced it into the crowd, his brilliant saves and the fact that after fearing the worst, we won the game. Boro was frustrating and Cardiff seemed like the reality of the Championship was about to knock us down for a long season, but the run we went on was amazing, "We're Sheff United, we're top of the League!"

We did stumble after Christmas - but we ended up higher than where I predicted (18th) and also higher than Wednesday.

I think the disapointment is losing the opening home game (after thinking the new signings would be an instant hit) and still being unsure as to whether the first half of last season was a fluke – this has left a few fans a bit deflated.

However, I'm thinking that even if we finish 11th-8th this season BUT have a more consistant League position - ie we are in that position all season, it will mean; we have an established Championship squad; we are consistant; we are solid and it will be clear which areas need slight upgrades to hopefully challange top six in the next few years.

I'm still optimistic and happy about "So far" and I'm really, really looking forward to this season.

It's not good enough for one person to say it or two, as soon as people realise they are in a majority, they all have to express that same opinion and some get pretty aggressive about it, the same people who would otherwise have stayed quiet if they weren't in a mob. You'll see this as soon as you express an opinion the mob don't like. Myself I'll express an opinion and stick with it even if everybody else on the forum decides to have a go but I will change my mind if somebody puts up a reasoned arguement to the contrary however that is a very rare thing on here. This thing for example, if you'd just read about a dozen threads before yours you would have seen the same thing discussed already if you don't bother to read the posts you will continue to post duplicates, it's up to you. Well in that case I disagree with you. I didn't come on here to get bored by you. I came to read information on everything Blades related and I must thank all the posters for adding so much to this BB.

My first opinion of you was the you knob for even commenting on this thread in the first place. I didn't express my opinion because I'm new on here and I didn't have much to go on. However I can see now you have a history of being a knob and my first impressions were correct! I may change my opinion in future as I read your contributions to this BB. I could put a very reasoned argument forward and would do so if I felt you worthy of it. However you are not deserving of any more of my time.

I would like to thank all the posters on here who have made interesting contributions to this BB, some great threads and posts fellow Blades.
