Tickle is an excellent keeper. 23, over 100 games. Good clean sheet percentage. The division has less relevance for keepers in terms of core keeping skills.

I know you're a "Stats Man" so basing your view on that sense but Johansson looked really ropey whenever I watched him last season.

His stats are great! But I watched him quite a bit for Rotherham. Player of the season at Stoke (not saying much, I know).

The downgrade to Tickle would be overshadowed by potential upgrades elsewhere.

I suggested him earlier in the day on the Cooper thread. He’s taller than Cooper, a couple of years younger too.

Most saves per shots coefficient and 20 clean sheets from 51 matches.

I don’t want the instability of Cooper leaving but we have to have plans for any player moving rather than figure it out later.

True, but it would have likely cost more than £3.5m for another championship club to buy him as opposed to a club in a separate division.
