After 67 pages it is with great sadness that I announce the death of Sam Morsey at the age of 74.

Although he never pulled on the famous red and white, I'm sure we can all agree that we felt like we knew him and his legacy will be a inspiration to future generations of blades worldwide.

If he's passed away are you writing from a nursing home .

Morsy and Fleck would be the best midfield partnership in the league, and we've seen already that Fleck is pretty creative if left to his own devices - just the way Coventry played meant he had a role to control the game and play deep, nothing else.

Don't bring height into it either because Morsy, David Perkins and Max Power were Wigan's midfielders last season and not one is over 6 foot!

If Fleck and Morsey are our central mid pairing I can't see Scoogs or Reed getting on the pitch with Duffy and (insert name) on the left wing

Reed has got some hard yards to do on the training pitch before he's even thought about for selection. It's make or break for him.
I hope Scougall gets in a taxi to Fleetwood asap.

Show some respect. The poor guy's barely cold and already you're misspelling his name. It was the same when Michael Tongue passed away at the Bramhall Lane Retirement Home.

To be fair Pinchy he changed his name several times during his life. My favourite being King Kong Longdong

How do you copy & paste a video?

Forgive me I`m not as young as I used to be

Search google for a 'animated gif'

Find the one that you want and then, 'view image' (opens up in a new window) - and then copy the address in the address bar.

The height thing is primarily about having enough tall players included in the first eleven to cope with set pieces. If we're replacing Basham with Morsy we will lose one tall player who's always given the task of marking an opposition aerial threat.

Secondly it is about winning/going for headers in general play. To win headers from opposition's goal kicks etc one centre half may (from now on) be forced to push up to challenge a target man who drops deep. Until now they've been able to leave that challenge to Basham, keeping the back four intact. Another tactic may be to accept losing that header (at least not having a centre half going for it), and focus on dealing with the flick on instead.

Thirdly, it is about being bullied in general play, but Morsy is very strong, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Lydon is so unfunny
That its actually funny ha
I appreciate the comedy effort.

We know what United are like. We wouldn't have bid 550k if we knew Scunny had a lower bid accepted.

Bit disappointed if he does cost that much. Would've preferred a straight swap with Brayford but I still don't think it's an extortionate amount for him. He's a top L1 player with a lot of good years and some improvement left in him.

Also, thank you Nigel Adkins or whichever fuck wit chose not to pursue him in January... looks like it could've cost us up to 350k... as well as a possible play off spot.

Ricky, you were one of the most vociferous about us wanting rid of Ché, now Wilder's stating that he's struggling to recoup that money from the board for investment (granted, he could be saying that tactically but given our historical nature of reinvestment I think he's probably telling the truth) and now you would rather we lost Brayford, with Morsy coming in, than just bringing in Morsy. As someone who just pays to watch the football, I don't get why you're so keen for us to weaken our side for cash returns all the time? I'm not having a pop or anything, I like you as a poster, you just have a different perspective to me that I don't understand.

Herbert is unique.

I'm not one to shout for the sale of a key player. Adams wasn't a key player, neither is Brayford and with the money we could free up we could bring in replacements and strengthen in other areas. I look at it like this... swap Brayford for Morsy, keep the '550k', spend less than that on replacing Brayford, have money to spare for other positions. Building a better squad is what's at the forefront of my mind, and we've still got a way to go before we have a good one.
