He's terrible, obviously doesn't know his arse from his elbow. Didn't get into them properly till second half so he clearly can't motivate his players and to top it all off he started with kitson and porter. He's a bloody clown, get rid now !

Ye, 4 points against 2 of the top 6. If we'd have done that all season we'd have walked the league. Not sure if this is tongue in cheek, but if it isn't what a stupid post! He's had the job less than a week!!
 
poxy 89 min equalisers seem to change everything. so close to winning, arggh!
 
Stupid timewasting aside, bringing Robson on for Doyle was a masterstroke. And Doyle hadn't been too bad.

taking the centre forward off and bringing a defender on when we had an extra man wasn't though :(
 



damn shame cos if it wasnt, youd think wed have brought ironside on? you wouldnt swap kitson for higginbum with a man advantage shirley?

We were two one up, ten men each.
Only three defenders and no defensive midfielders.
Of course he needed to bring an extra defender on.
As others have said, Kitson was next in the refs sights to be sent off.
So it was the correct decision IMHO
 
Bringing on Higginbotham for Kitson wasn't a bad bloody move! Kitson would have gone anyway with that nobhead giving out cards every few minutes! Also, Maguire had just been sent off and we were 3 at the back, we were only 2-1 up too. We had to be cautious about the counter attack with Wright-Phillips faster than all of our defence put together, so I'm glad we didn't go so attacking minded, the time wasting was pointless but if we went out to just attack attack attack after having our main centre back sent off then I wouldn't have been surprised if we went home empty handed. At least nobody can say this time last week they expected 4 points against Swindon and Brentford!
 
i thought it was over, but i looked and its not.

fantasy land time:

donny draw at home to notts county (conceivable)
brentford v donny draw (conceivable)
bournemouth draw at tranmere (conceivable)
win all 3 games and make up the 3 or 4 goals whatever it is on bournemouth

and hey presto:

super blades 83
bournemouth 83
donny 83
brentford 82

very good points. yep the right decision. i just wonder if we would have changed it being a man up though? maybe not. we had to be able to see the game out and we couldnt. thats the simple facts of it.
 
wilsons head would have been on a cyber-spike if we'd thrown away that game in exactly the same fashion tonight - where was the blood and guts passion needed to hold out tonight????

The other simple fact is that Brentford have pace upfront, something we haven't had for donkeys years. They had Donaldson who was a twat but a very good player at this level who had pace to burn and loved to annoy our defence, after he went, they brought on Wright-Phillips! Unfortunately we don't have any sort of pace in the side at all which lets us down massively, especially in defence when we come up against teams such as Brentford. Also let me just say their touch on the ball was amazing compared to the other load of shite this league contains.
 
Was entertaining but unfortunately I thought a mistake by the goalkeeper cost us. He needs to command his area better. You wouldn't have seen Paddy Kenny stood watching that ball, he would have been out to clear it in a flash.
 
oh hell just had a horrid thought.

imagine if we go into the last game needing to win and brentford/donny to draw.
you can just see how that would end. we win, the other game is 1-1. everybody on the pitch celebrating, then news comes through some twat gets a 97th minute winner :eek:

Most likely would it be Donaldson who dived for a penalty, Stroud the referee ;)
 
The referee had obviously had some new cards given to him for his 9th birthday....
I'm sure he even booked me at one point!

He looked quite small running round the pitch after those big nasty footballers.

As for Morgs he played a master stroke bringing Robson on and he had to bring Higgyarse on after Maguire was sent off to prop the defence up.
Funnily enough the quickest I've ever seen Maguire run was as he waddled to the linesman.

An entertaining game but as is 'the blades way' we fecked it up at the end....

Playoff final is 19th May!!! If we get there....

Or even worse. Both just need a point to ensure Promotion. I dont know if that is a possibility?
