Outgoing? Ryan Oné

Just read through the posts since the news broke about Rangers. There is literally nothing said remotely like any of that, you have just made it up.
Not exactly a positive outlook though is it, reacting to nothing more than a rejected offer, many have him as good as gone already.

Not even considering the fact we are under no pressure to sell given he has 3 years remaining. It would take a big offer for us to sell him and Rangers don’t pay big money, so do you think it’s likely really?.

Agree 👍… and he’s about to blow £8 mil on a massive risk of a CB..who’s had a serious injury someone should crying out at him to use it one one or two up and comers who can be the future of the club
Or … he’s about to spend £8m on the dominant centre half that we all know we desperately need to turn us into a solid defensive unit again.
Depends how you look at it I guess.

People are reacting to the “talks ongoing” part of the tweet. If it’s true, it suggests we’re open to a deal.

People are also reacting to the sale of one of our most exciting young players (Brooks) and to Wilder’s vocal preference for “Championship experience” over youth. It doesn’t help that One hasn’t featured much at all in preseason and we recently had a story from Danny Hall about Cannon being at the centre of Wilder’s strategy for the future.

The story might be bullshit. The deal might not happen. But let’s not pretend people’s concerns are coming out of nowhere.

Why go to Rangers. Joke of a league. There European venture usually finishes in August anyway. He's better than that
To be fair closest we get to Europe is Pompy away. Pains me but look at LunnyC played in a european final

Struggling to see any mileage in this.

Surely what we'd want to make it worthwhile but outside what Rangers could afford/be willing to spend.

Folk reacting to a player possible going? That’s what this forum is for isn’t it? I’ve not seen one post saying anything like that post above, just concerned fans speaking about a player they rate possibly going. I take it you posted the same on the Brooks, Hamer threads that it’s not a positive outlook to be discussing them going/gone?

As for your bottom paragraph I agree with you, yes the years he has left should get us a good fee. My concern is Wilder doesn’t rate him and the owners who will take advice from Wilder and his staff could sell less than his worth. No idea what money Rangers have.

I just hope we keep him and give him a chance. If he gets the chance and starts firing his fee would go up dramatically compared to what we’d accept right now.

But I could be totally wrong and Wilder loves him and is being extremely patient with him.

All you need to do is look at Rangers transfer history, they don’t spend big money on players, and you can say what you want about past transfers and these owners. They aren’t going to sell a young striker with 3 years on his contract on the cheap.

I hope you’re right but I don’t see any reason to be as certain as you seem to be.

The funny thing is it’s ridiculous for reasons they don’t really understand.

Lad has a massive future and he’s ours on a long contract.

They can’t afford to make signings like that.
One would've been a replacement for the injured Chermiti.
The Chermiti who they turned down a record selling fee (£22m) on Sunday.
That Sunday where he got the ACL that's left him on the sidelines for twelve months.
They may end up going back to Hearts for Braga, but clubs will up their prices as they
know they're desperate to buy.

Of course i was exaggerating, tongue in cheek, but these posts give you an idea of the reason i wrote it....

If we sell one im officially giving up on these owners. It'll basically confirm managed decline

That’s him off then

Selling One will suck even more joy from this so far uninspireing upcoming season

Hardly played him pre season so not surprised at all!

We must be in a right state financially

Why would any sane football club sell One and keep Cannon…..just one that is on the bones of it’s arse, again !!

65 years of experience supporting this club tells me, and a lot of others, what will happen and why.

Brilliant. We tell Preston to get in the bin for Cannon, whilst "talks ongoing" for a young player

The reality has hit this club and it’s belt tightening time.

Ndiaye would have been flogged if Chris was the gaffer. Expect him to get sold

If One goes, we need to get one in. Bamford, cannon, and Campbell are not going to enough goals.

Can't see this at all.

One is still very young on a long contract and has the potential to be a great asset on the pitch and in the bank down the line.

I can.

We are a selling club at the minute. Wilder sees the chance to bring some more money in to free up for transfers and also wants to continue flogging the dead horse that is Cannon in the hope that his outlay on is justified.

I’d much rather see Cannon leave and One given a real chance next season.

Only one for me..😊👍

I like One and I really think he will play a big part in our future (either with a healthy transfer or the dream of seeing him set a league alight with us).

I am struggling a bit to see what people are putting so much on him right now vs Tom Cannon though? We saw him play for 15 minutes vs Mansfield after we were 2-0 up?

He did well in his League 1 loan, but he played in a side that was smashing the league for the whole season. Cannon would have probably done well too.

Someone yesterday said he was second behind Bamford in our CF department. I know Campbell had an off season last year, but he is a proven Championship forward.

Have I missed something?

No player improves more than a Sheffield United youngster who is out on loan

United reject a bid for a footballer.

S24SU posters - "I'm done with this club. Owners are cunts. Wilder's a prick"

🤣
The "ongoing discussion" was the problem
Discuss fucking cannon and keep one you silly yank gits 👍

No guarantee any money coming in will be for transfers.

May have been me the said One is second choice. I meant specifically as a "target man/line leader". Also Campbell having fitness issues meant I disregarded him slightly.

I'm not even sure what formation we're going to play. One/Campbell is a possible front two combo.

We need to make profit on players, so it's madness to not utilise One heavily this season.
